Well for now: 1-5 is good, 6-8 is mediocre and 9-11 is bad.

Ram-zet sounds interesting, are they an Unexpect sort of avantgarde?
And I agree about Epica, disappointing :/

New Epica disappointed me a lot, not as half good as the previous. "Helvetios" is just terrible -.-'

Yes, I think so. I've been listening Ram-Zet for a while and this album is maybe the best along with "Escape". Epica, might be their worst...

I'm surprised with the amount of people that didn't like Epica's latest at all.
Was it that bad? I had to give it a couple of listens for it to fully click.

IMO, it has not the consistence of the previous one and Simone's voice sounds more annoying than ever.

Yeah, the previous album was Epica's best effort so far. But I think they progressed musically on this one.
Simone's voice already became sort of annoying on that record, but I think the studio edit makes her somewhat enjoyable and the singing style on this album suits her better.

I'm guessing that in the live performances she will sing awfully though

Yeah the live performances will be terrible I think. I'll see them 2 times in this tour, let's see what happens...

Hey, nice set of 2012 albums here. I'm definitely staying clear of Lacuna Coil thats for sure. I dont see any problem with the order either. Though I haven't listen to Amberian Dawn's newest album, I might gave it a listen some time. Epica on the other hand have released their worst yet, but its not as bad as I thought it would be.

You should really check the new Amberian Dawn. I don't like the single that much, but it's a nice album! More symphonic and less power than the previous ones, but very nice as well!

I'll give a check to your list for sure. Will be helpful because I really like atmospheric black but I don't know that much stuff yet.

A worthy list... A Forest Of Stars was prob my favorite of 2012, but I'm satisfied to see it at least in your top 10

I just noticed you don't have Atoma's Skylight here. A brilliant atmospheric rock/metal album, in case you haven't listened to it

The truth is that I haven't listened to it. Heard about it tons of times but never really listened. I guess I'll have to try it sooner or later
