Two of my favorite doom bands next to Black Sabbath. Gonna have to go with Candlemass by a hair.

Is there ever any doubt?

The're too Different to compare, Sure they are both playing doom but they are playing different style's of doom, If you were going to compare Electric Wizard to someone it should be a band like Bongzilla or early Orange Goblin.

You clearly have a major boner for Wrathchild. Time to move on bb.

But yeah, Candlemass started out better but have become bit rubbish whereas Electric Wizard are probably stronger than ever going by the last two records.

I know at least 5 people that can prove you wrong. 4 of them work in a strip joint.

I prefer candlemass, but, as it has been pointed out, it is an odd pairing. both are doom, but from different corners of the Doomiverse.

I prefer Candlemass

Candlemass i love every album they ever put out, i could never get into electric wizard IMO. its still a weird pairing though they really play different styles.

Yeah even though they're both doom they're way too different to compare. I would have went with Electric Wizard vs Sleep.

That being said, I prefer Electric Wizard's style over Candlemass.
