In my opinion, the bands are mostly: 1. ANACRUSIS (1986 - 1990 - technical thrash ; 1991-1993 and now - prog thrash) 2. HOLY TERROR (1985 - 1989 ; thrash with punk influences and incredible vocals) 3. DEPRESSIVE AGE (1988 - 2001 [also known as D-Age (1997 - 2001)] ; technical/progressive thrash metal)

Hmmmm... are we talking "classic" bands or modern also? If modern is included, I would say the German band "Nocturnal" Great thrash, mmm so tasty!

In my opinion, Megadeth is a very overrated band, I like a lot Peace Sells and Rust In Peace, but the rest is very average.

29.03.2012 - 13:10 Written by Cynic Metalhead on 27.03.2012 at 10:54 Yes indeed. "Game Over" and "Handle with Care" are two of the best metal albums ever recorded, each an amazing combination of blasting and grooving, catchy riffs all over - plus relevant lyrical content and not just adolescent horror-fantasies (my least favourite thing about extreme metal). If they were released now they'd still sound original. I'd also agree that Coroner have always been cruelly overlooked - possibly because they were "just" Celtic Frost roadies .. IMO their albums are better than Celtic Frost's (albeit a very different style anyway).

29.03.2012 - 16:06 Written by immortal83 on 29.03.2012 at 12:15 I often see people going with the tags of "IMO or in my opinion" and bash all the mainstream bands which inadvertently they don't have anything in their baggage to discuss it. You started with Megadeth, someone gonna chip in Metallica and then the bashing troll train will continue. Btw you should have come up with the bands that are Overlooked not Overrated.

I'll still toss the nod to Holy Terror. not particularly significant, a little late to the party and only two albums, but sloppy raw energy and awesome vocals make me a happy camper.

29.03.2012 - 22:01 Written by K✞ulu on 29.03.2012 at 17:38 Forced Entry's As Above So Below didn't garner much respect. I disagree. It's more technical than Uncertain and a quality listen Acrophet's Faded Glory is a great thrash album. I don't know anything about their debut.

How about some Artillery? Or maybe a little ONSLAUGHT? Onslaught's "Power From Hell" is one of my favorite thrash albums, but it seems like a lot of people have never heard of them.
