In my opinion, the bands are mostly:

1. ANACRUSIS (1986 - 1990 - technical thrash ; 1991-1993 and now - prog thrash)

2. HOLY TERROR (1985 - 1989 ; thrash with punk influences and incredible vocals)

3. DEPRESSIVE AGE (1988 - 2001 [also known as D-Age (1997 - 2001)] ; technical/progressive thrash metal)

Saying ''Who the fuck are you?'' is rather stupid. Since you can read my profile. We're not on topic right now. It's about thrash. DUH.

And I guess saying ''thanks for being an ass'' is so much better.

Stray off the subject and then accuse me of straying off the subject. Clever.

I didn't wanna comment on that... but ya. There's no way one of the most overhyped, overrated thrash bands of the century is in any way overlooked.

Overlooked: Sacred Ally, Vektor, Hexen, Kremate, Nocturnal Breed, Messiah, Demolition Hammer, Lääz Rockit, Atrophy, Hellcannon, Byfrost, Rattlehead

I think the reason that bands like Messiah, Demolition Hammer,Laaz Rockit, Atrophy... are overlooked by some is 'cause they released their best (and mostly only) stuff in the late 80's or early 90's and most of them split up, so it's normal that not every young metalhead knows these bands. In those days they weren't overlooked.
I'll second Byfrost though.

I just listened to Heathen's latest. It reminded me of late Exodus with Bobby Blitz vocals.

Rattlehead

I like these guys. Now we know what Thrash would've sounded like if it came out of the Sunset Strip in the 80's. Let's put them on MS!

its not because once... they were not overlooked that they aren't now -_- we're not in the 80's anymore alot of people don't even know these bands and in case you guys didn't notice im 21... so people around me don't even know most classic thrash albums so yeah in my book its a case of being overlooked by the 00's young metal heads overlooked because of the years past is still being overlooked.

Oh and for Vektor: they might be hyped on MS but seriously ?? don't know where you guys come from but I made my friends discover this band... and when I talk to people about Vektor, usually they're like ''uh who ? what? don't know this band...'' or they start talking to me about math problems, go out of ms sometimes I don't expect you guys to be like ''wtf who's vektor'' cuz you're probably like me, always searching for new material... but not everyone's like that.

oh and Overlooked: Vacant Grave (alum: Life Or Death), Virus (album: Force Recon, Lunacy)

I don't know if they're overlooked: it's second or third tier but Witchburner is enjoyable although they 've got very low ratings on MA. I don't say it's fantastic thrash but I can listen to their old school thrash now and then.

Victims Of Science is among my favorite thrash albums.

Arachnid is a horribly overlooked band. Very Morbid Saint sounding, occasionally crosses into death metal territory. Only released one demo, but it is perhaps the best thrash demo I've ever heard.

Over 50,000 listeners on last.fm... I wouldn't exactly call that overlooked, even though they aren't as well known as the big four.

That being said, apparently Evile have more listeners there. Kind of sad.

I would call the German Poison more death than thrash tbh. Just like Possessed in that sense and early Death
