Oddland is a progressive metal band hailing from Finland. The band was formed in 2002 as a rock-oriented band, but its most active years began a few years later, in 2008. The first outcome of their new era's sound was the demo/promo release entitled Away From The Watching Eye, which was released in 2010. The following year witnessed Oddland winning the Suomi Metal Star -competition, which enabled a deal with Century Media Records. During the year of 2011 the band also entered the Fantom Studios in order to record their debut album The Treachery Of Senses, which was later mixed and mastered by the most famous Swan residing in Sweden; Dan. "One of the best albums I have mixed, ever! Incredible songs, stellar musicianship. I am proud to be a part of this amazing record!" — Dan Swänö. The Treachery Of Senses was released on April 30th, 2012.
Oddland is:
Sakari Ojanen - vocals, guitar
Ville Viitanen - drums, percussion
Jussi Poikonen - guitar
Joni Palmroth - bass

The band is planning to release a music video soon. No idea what's the chosen track for that.
Anyway, here's the opening track for the album + lyrics:
Walking in the dark
I have taken the wrong way home, I've been
Lost for days and seen no familiar face
No one wants to see a weak being
And I've been lied to too many times
Been let down and fallen behind
Withhold the name I bear
And give me a chance for my revenge
Read past the words that bleed
Read to the core to keep
Soar and rise to see
Above and beyond me
With one wish withstand
All the scorn all the masses demand
And I've had reason to come to the conclusion
No eyes will open without a raised hand
Read past the words that bleed
Read to the core to keep
Soar and rise to see
Above and beyond me

Oddland's first music video released. Watch it below.
Come high tide
Beware the pain
The scars they stay the same
What I've lived
And what I've known
The stones I've thrown
In the eyes of the mourning are veins of death
The bleeding
It won't stop until all tears have shed
What I am
An ending stream
Dark water calm and deep
The life that once flowed in him
The air, we now breathe
In the eyes of the mourning are veins of death
The bleeding
It won't stop until all tears have shed

This is definitely good; I just don't know how good. Something progheads have to give a try to. This is great modern prog sometimes quasi-djenty feel to it, some technical moments and great vocals (a la Daniel Gidenlow). I merely gave this album one spin and started listening to it on my way to work today again.
EDIT
This is pretty outstanding. It has unfolded even more.
Mora, you have to review this; just absolutely no other way to go about this band.

This deserves a review.
They were just added. I'd love to review the album if they get a featured status anytime soon.

Well, as soon as the profile is complete, we'll tell Azoic to feature them. I'd like to take a stab at that review, but with my current plans, they are way behind in the queue and I'd like to read what you have to say about it as well

In case someone nags about missing demo tracklists you can maybe count the knowledgeable persons by fingers. In other words, irrelevant releases compared to what Oddland is today.

Doesn't matter. Info not available and those are just demos.

Just so you know, bands don't need to be featured for regular users to review one of their albums.

You write a review and then submit it I think I reviewed some invisible bands back in the guest reviewing days too, I don't see why everyone thinks the band needs to be visible in order to do it.

My bad. I took "featured" as "added," not as "visible."
