So now they can make double the money!
And is tehre one legitimate reason why 80 minutes can't fit on one disc? Woods IV is 76 minutes long?

So now they can make double the money!
Woo-hoo, so what? Can you blame them for wanting to double the money? They have probably earned next to nothing from this project in about 6 or so years, might as well "cash in" now that the ball is rolling. If they've written two shorter CDs worth of material and don't want to cram it all on one CD...
I'm a fan of this decision, because I don't have a high tolerance to "epic" now compared to the one I had three years ago, when I heard the first CD... so if they release this in bite-size chunks, I'll probably enjoy it more than 80 minutes of shredding and winter non stop.

Meh, I'm not a huge fan of the band, I thought WIntersun was over-hyped and really cheesy, so I don't really care about this release But it just seems like Jari thinks that everyone is dying to hear this. Even though most people who aren't die hard fans lost interest 3 or 4 years ago. So all that's left is fanboys(girls). He also better hope that Time 1 is decent, because if it's not, no one is going to bother with Time II.
Just my two cents.

I don't really care about this release
For someone who doesn't care, you've certainly commented a lot on it as for whatever Jari thinks/says, take everything with a grain of salt (because there's a lot of joking involved) and don't draw conclusions based on limited knowledge. Sure, it used to be fun, cracking jokes about this band and contemplating whether Jari is "trolling" us with the delay, but you arrived to the party several years late. You're spoiling it for us who'd like to hear it (and possibly enjoy it) and pass their fair judgment when it eventually comes out (not making a big fuss about when will that be), and you're also annoying those who don't want to hear anything about Wintersun ever again.
Well, not you personally, but the... how did Joe call it? Wintersun circle jerk... masturbatory... something.

If people can't draw their own conclusions and let other peoples' opinions get in the way of their enjoyment of an album then maybe they should just stick to radio pop music...

I don't enjoy these guys as much as I did, if Time had probably released when it was initially supposed to I would have been really excited, not any more though :/

That would be fun. Although you would distract me from my Wintersun trance
We'll discuss this plenty when it comes out. The most hyped metal album ever. Possibly living up to the hype. I think it will.

Just to answer both your question, and a previous remark by Troy, since I think he was talking about me there - it's kind of frustrating, entering a thread in hope of some rational discussion about the band and running into nothing but a wall of "OMG JARI IS GOD PERFECTION!!!!111" and "lolololol this band so funneh", that's what I meant by my "passing judgments"-comment. But I'll be happy to discuss it with you, that for sure. I don't think it will live up to the hype, but it will be an enjoyable melodic metal injection.

OMG U DON'T THNK JARI IS GODDD?!?!?!?!1?1 THAT IS SOOO FUNNEH LOLOLO
Okay maybe it really is so overhyped that it could never live up to it. I guess it depends on who is hyping it. There are people saying that it will be the mythical album to end all albums, and in that case it couldn't possibly not be overhyped.
Judging by what I can make out from bad recordings of The Way Of The Fire it will be a great album/ That doesn't mean I'm going to start worshiping them or fail to critique it critically. I just really really liked the first one.

Speaking of 'The Way Of The Fire' - doesn't look like it is going to appear on the first Time album, unless I'm mistaken. (its not on the track-list). Which is a bummer, because ever since hearing the mentioned Live recordings - I've been eagerly awaiting a studio version to blast into the cosmos.

Anyone else have the thought that this is getting released in 2 parts due to the demands of the record label? I'm thinking it's something like this: Jari has completed a number of songs, but is still doing his ultra-perfectionist thing with several of the others. He asks Nuclear Blast for more time (for about the thousandth time, I'm sure), and they respond that *something* HAS to be released, and sooner rather than later. So, since some songs are ready, they hit on the idea of releasing those now, while Jari continues working on the rest of them to be released "next year" (we'll see). Hence, Time I and Time II.

Shit its so complex if you listen to Time I and II back to back your head is going to explode! Even Jari can't handle it so imagine what happens to a normal human being! 80min of brain melting!
Good thing that I'm probably dead by the time its released. I mean I'm already 23!

11 years later... *tumbleweed still rolling*
Jari: "oh yea, album is done, however we need money to release it, so here's a nice new crowdfunding campaign"
Nuclear Blast: *facepalm*
