I literally have my own private access to a surf break so I would never get anything done working from home, in fact I had the dy off the other day to do some renovation and spent half of the day surfing
What are scary metal songs you ever listened to ? I mean the songs that make you feel the scary cold touch on your back and neck. Knowing metal is music for enjoyment, but I guess there can some songs that scareeee you. : )
Mine is theses two:
- Bishop Of Hexen - The Somber Ground of Truth
- Swallow The Sun - Ghost of Laura Palmer
Sunn O))) usually creeps me out, but in a good way.
Bathory Erzsebet sounds like a desolate urban wasteland during a zombie apocalypse, and Her Lips Were Wet With Venom sounds like a bloody demonic cult ritual in the middle of a dying forest.
I thought Alice Cooper - "Dangerous Tonight" was a scary song maybe ten years ago. Now I'm not so sure. I don't listen to any Death- or Black Metal, that might be a problem? I do get the creeps from the new Iron Fire album Voyage Of The Damned with songs like "Taken", "The Final Odyssey", "Voyage Of The Damned" and "Dreams Of The Dead Moon". However, I can't name any song I think is downright scary to be honest.
When i was a young kid my mom would play The Ballad of Dwight Fry by Alice Cooper and that scared the shit out me... Also Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath scared me to, as well as the album cover.

I need to rephrase your opinion. >>
When I was young my mom use to play In The End by Linkin Park and that really scared the shit out of me.
Summoning's Mirkwood is a win for me. That song has such obscure and scary ambient. I rember years back I could't fall asleep wihtout music and once I put Summoning on and I woke up in the middle of the night and Mirkwood was playing and it scared the sh*t out of me. So yea, alltogegther it's the scariest song to me. But also one of my Summoning favuorites.
---- You think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was a man. But it was nothing to me but blinding.
I used to listen music while I was sleeping, back when I was in secondary school and I lively remember, I once put Summoning's Minas Morgul on. Then, I woke up in the middle of the night and Morthond was on and I nearly had a heart attack. It was the combination of sleepiness and the hauting melody that made me memorize that song as the creepy one. So yea, for me - Morthond is the synonim for creepy.

Celtic Frost - "Triptych" from Monotheist (especially Totengott)
Meshuggah - Mind's Mirrors going into the "In Death" duo off Catch 33
Opeth - Hessian Peel (the piano interlude just before the heavy part) from Watershed
The actual heavy parts don't really scare me, but certain bands can make really tense moments in songs with soft parts just before the heavy parts explode on me like in the examples mentioned above. To be honest I find the intro and outro to Gary Wright's "Dream Weaver" more terrifying than even the darkest metal out there (hell the rest of the song is still kind of creepy). It creeped on me real bad when I played the radio at night as a little kid (music helps me sleep). I'm weird I know.

Ordinary men hate solitude. But the Master makes use of it, embracing his aloneness, realizing he is one with the whole universe (Lao Tzu).
what if the song ends and it's silent for a while and you start dozing off then it goes BOO!!....actually that would just be frightening.
