Im gonna watch Opening ceremony + as mutch I cant catch on Swe TV , but wont pay much attentiuon to football
More I will pay basket, volley, handball, track n field atheltics and all both competitions, canooing and other one, swimming
+ where swedes and latvian athlets will take a part, I try to follow dayly reports since I have not so much free time

Time difference in India is like um 6.45 hrs approx.( India is ahead!). So, i'll try to catch it out. Worse, I am missing UK like fucking anything. I should have been there. :/

Yeah actually being there would be much better than watching on a screen. I still remember going to see a few football matches and some swimming at the Sydney Olympics back in 2000, I was only 8 yrs old then, but its definitely a far better experience when you're among it all.

And that's a downer, you won't be returning anytime during the Olympics?

Bad timing: I'm in France from August 6th 'till August 24th and my friend has tickets for the quarter finals football but they are August 4th and that's a no go 'cause I'm in Wacken then.

not a firendly game at all. It wa stheir first match in the qualifying rounds for football. But somehow football already started on Wednesday wehereas the Games opened earlier today.

and tbh what happened was a total and utter disgrace. SHowing the flag of South Korea next to the portraits of the North Korean players.

Damn I hate when Swe TV mix all whit Eurosport same sports same disciplines.... I wanna seee boths (what it calls rowing ) no they all show swimming (what I like ) + swe vs jap femalefooball, and kundskapkanal(knowladge channel) show also mix betweens wimming and cycling)

I've seen that match (partially). North Korea was playing against Colombia (woman football) and while this happened the players went off the pitch and didn't want to play for that matter. But they have returned, when they had shown the right flags and approximately an hour later the match had started.

These kind of incidents are always a huge embarrassment for organizators, especially in this case.

yeah is an immense embarrassment. But I really can't understand how a mistake like this could be made at an event as big and professional as the Olypmics.

And tbh I can totally understand the coach for taking the players off the field and only resume once proper excuses for the fuck up were made.

Phelps already devastated in 400m Butterfly by coming third( which wasn't expected (SHOCKED)!). For sure, it gonna have severe effect on Phelps in 400m IM later today. It gonna be fucking awesome to see Lochte and Phelps going head to head in that final event.

Phelps barely made the finals! Hope this isn't a sign of things to come!

A lot to watch: swimming, basketball, volleyball, archery, track and field, soccer. Just to name a few!

I didn't love the opening ceremony, tbh. It was a bit underwhelming for me. But I love sports and I will be following as much as I can. Too bad karate isn't an Olympic sport, but oh well.

lol It's cool. I love doing it. I'm a brown belt, but hopefully I'll get there some day Are you? i talked to my master about this and he said that Karate will "never" be an Olympic sport because there are so many different styles and karate. That makes sense though, it would be hard to combine all of them without taking some of its essence.
