I think the band would have a better sound if they had rawer guitars and less bass.

That would be impressive, surely with a cover like that they won't stick any old death/doom under it? Hopefully the music can live up to the artwork. I'll likely try that Youtube streaming some time this weekend.

Yeah i'm sure that will be a thing of beauty. Even the CD packaging looks unbelievable. I'm looking forward to flicking through that 28 page booklet.

Bought the CD, should be here soon. Couldn't wait and downloaded it, holy shit i love it

And then some

After reading the comments here and seeing the awesome packaging, I was pretty stoked. But at least on first two listens it's surprisingly average. To me, it looks better than it sounds. Not bad, but I doubt it makes my top death doom records of the year. A very solid 3/5 or maybe a weaker 3,5/5, but not close to Faal, The 11th Hour and Lurk. Might fall somewhere between Derkéta and Evoken in terms of "how like am I to put this on."

I would buy this album on the artwork alone!

Didn't click on the first few listens but it's grabbing my attention now.

After all the praise surrounding this album I got curious and decided to check it out and despite my fairly high expectations I was not disappointed.

What I especially like about this album are the flawless transitions between the slow and pounding doom sections to the furious outbursts of pure death metal. On top of this are the excellent vocals which are varied enough as to never get tedious. The guitar play is also worth mentioning which managed to both send chills down my spine at times as well as provoke some serious headbanging.

One of the best death/doom releases of the year indeed.

Got my copy today and after the first listen I am impressed

Just listened to Paradigms and the last four minutes blew me the fuck outta the water. Very excited to progress through this album now.

There have been a few excellent doom (in all its shapes and forms) releaes this year: Faal, Witchsorrow, Bong, Candlemass, Evoken, P.H.O.B.O.S., The 11th Hour, Altar of Oblivion, Worship - to name just a few that pop up immediately, but Indesinence might just outshine them all.

Good, because it means I've achieved what I wanted when I put that pathetic release among the good stuff

Heard the whole album and it's fucking incredible. That is all.

I finally figured out why I don't rate the new Indesinence higher, it is the many Celtci Frost references in the songs and I always found that band soso at best.

Those references really bring this album down. Now it's only omy numeber six in my extreme doom list of this year

What beats it? Because honestly this is probably top 3 doom albums of the year for me.
