Devin Townsend - New Album Streaming Online


Devin Townsend's new album Epicloud has been made available for streaming on exclaim.ca. The stream comprises the first disc of the album; a second disc will be available on the deluxe edition of the album.

The album will be released next Tuesday on September 18th in North America and slightly later on September 24th in Europe through InsideOut. According to Townsend himself, the 13-song opus is unique in that he's interested in "simpler, commercial structures."

The singing skills of this guy are so amazing, he is probably the best or one of the best singers I've heard. And he keeps getting better.

Yep, she is the main guest just like in Addicted!. There's also that magnificent choir ala Deconstruction.

Pretty much pop metal for the most part, but it's done in such an energetic and well-textured way that it works great; from someone who didn't particularly like Addicted!. Arguably the most I've enjoyed a DT release, even if Survive and Save Our Now (sounds kinda top40-ish) are a bit naff. And the re-recording of Kingdom destroys the original.
