You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Find #1: Xanthochroid

Find #2: Dawn Of Dementia

Find #3: The Odious

Find #4: Pomegranate Tiger

Xanthochroid, Dawn Of Dementia, and The Odious are all 2012 releases. This thread is for albums released in 2013, not albums discovered in 2013.

Also, next time you want to embed YouTube videos please be sure to pay attention to how the YT code works.

You put only this part from the end of the url: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnhX-bjZfCQ

[ youtube ]right here[/ youtube ] (and of course no spacing between the brackets and the word youtube)

That's how you get this:

And nice find with Pomegranate Tiger BTW.

Darkflight's new album was supposed to come out this may, but it was delayed. They did however release a song online for streaming. Doesn't sound bad, though the keyboards at the 3:40 or so mark feels pretty out of place.

That does indeed sound like Portal. Perhaps a bit too much so really. Not bad though.

Demon Lung - Pareidolia --> a very solid female-fronted doom stuff from Las Vegas (it's their debut album).

Bandcamp

Nice record, but it's a 2012 release

Agreed, this kind of dissonant riffing is catching on, hopefully it won't get ruined like the infamous Shoegazing BM style.

Not a new release as such, but a previously unreleased Blut aus Nord track. Sounds pretty hellish and dissonant.

New Procession album is out / leaked. Sounds like some pretty nice epic doom from this track:

New Black Pyramid:

A fantastic split between Undersmile and Coma Wall (both bands have the same members though). Basically one half apocalyptic Americana-y folk and the one half sludge doom of the slowest kind.

New Caina release. Going by the available track and the tags this should probably be better off in the non-metal thread, but I figured he's done enough to in his career to get a mention here.

Black metal from a band named Falgar. Wasn't sure I would like this but after a few songs it started to grow on me. Basically quite slow / mid-paced black metal that reminds me somewhat of new Wyrd / Burzum. Quite a pleasant listen.

Some potentially interesting post-ish kind of death metal. I haven't properly listened to it yet but sounds ok to me.

Leaked Won't be out for about another month.
The download promo has been available for quite some time now, so it's not really surprising it has leaked.

Dynasty of Darkness is a symphonic black metal band featuring hellhammer, attila csihar (on one track) and I think one other guy from the Kovenant. It actually doesn't sound too bad tbh, full album (Empire of Pain) streaming from the website:

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of that Spektr release either. I've always found them to be a quite overrated in their scene.

If the Omega Centauri song isn't one of the greatest compositions you've ever heard then there's something very wrong with you.

Canadian band called Unsacred Seed. Been addicted to this for the last couple of weeks. A nice mix of catchy death metal and groove. Definitely recommend it.

I don't know these bands, but arose from this a quite tasty musical cocktail. Especially #2 - the shortest and probably the most interesting imo. A nice find Pazdzioch.
