The Void of Sleep stuff sounds similar to Tool, especially some of the riffs. The bass at the beginning sounds also sounds like something taken from one of their songs.

Couldn't tell you. I only heard those two songs not too long ago via this page. But if their previous album near as good as this one lines up to be. I'd say it's worth looking into.
