You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Some really good, and rather refreshing, black metal with middle-eastern influences.

These guys / girls / whoever they really are are pretty famous for their anti-Islamic lyrics and the fact it's supposedly fronted by a woman. Glad to say the music this time round is much better than what was achieved with Janaza.

Yea, I've done a fair amount of research into them. Apparently ALL of their band photos are either faked or stolen from other bands to protect their identities from the Iraqi government. They're also in the process of trying to get visas so they can move to Europe, reveal their identities and go on proper tours.

Just picked up Power Trips's debut album Manifest Decimation. By far the best album that has come out this year, and probably better than anything that has come out in 10 years in my opinion, extremely righteous stuff. Crossover in vein of Cro-Mags and Discharge. Definitely one of my new favorites.

Not really metal, but yeah. Dreamdecay are cool, the album reminds me a little of Swans sonically. Not that it sounds the same, but it has elements of both early and modern Swans. One of the cooler noise rock albums of the year.

Here are some of my today's findings:

1. Lycus 'Tempest' - funeral doom at its best.

2. Dressed In Streams 'The Search For Blood' EP - black metal that is quiet experimental.

here!

3. Mammoth Grinder 'Underworlds' - fine mix of death metal and crust.
