You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Really enjoying this one. Appears they've changed their name too, they used to be Arsaidh, as they've got on the cover.

What's this? A FEMALE solo project?

One that doesn't rely on gimmicks?

Cool.

Doesn't the "female solo project" aspect make it a gimmick in itself...?

Drone doom

Not really drone, or doom though More like some kind of atmospheric rock. Seeing as it's by Sera Timms from Ides of Gemini and Black Math Horseman it's always likely to be of high quality.

I think I enjoyed that demo track more than any of the tracks on the last album to be honest, so it definitely got my hopes up.

Same here, I can't remember the last time I revisited their latest album it was that ordinary. This early sample seems to be a bit more noteworthy.

The vocalist kinda reminds me of Joel Grind, so this (to me) sounds kinda like if Joel had taken Toxic Holocaust in a more deathgrind-y thrash direction than a blackened thrash direction. I dig.

I find it totally mind baffling how many people get their panties all wet over a new album by Nocturnal Depression the probably single most mediocre depressive black metal band around.

Half agree with Marcel... It's not mediocre but it does not deserve the hype and it's not a top name of the genre at all.
