You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Cool hardcore punk/sludge.

Funny you mention this, they're playing just down the road from me tonight. Debating whether or not to go as they're quite good. Not sure I can be bothered in this heatwave really.

Lord Dying's debut called 'Summon The Faithless' is some decent sludge. High On Fire fans should be pleased.

If you like Blackened Doom, there's this band that released a demo recently. It's an international band according to M/A. Also, apparently it's nearly impossible to get the demo.

it clearly is some sort of hardcore you posted and powerviolence is a subgenre of hardcore. Wouldn't call it grindcore.

I still think the name is stupid, I guess that's my problem. Makes me think of those "scene" 14 years old kids. xD

Could be, but the name's been around for ages. And imo is just as stupid as djent, post metal, post rock and many more names.

Stone Titan out with a full length. A fun assault on the ears in just under 30 minutes. Only big complaint would be the constant use of feedback... which can get quite annoying. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. Worth the short amount of your time it would take to listen to.

New Obsidian Tongue Album is coming out in 3 days. Right now the first 2 tracks are on Bandcamp and they sound excellent, particularly the 2nd track. Melodic Black Metal with some psychedelic vibe. And I almost forgot to mention the fantastic artwork.

I know right? There really is an emotional aspect to it that you don't find everyday in grindcore (or powerviolence, whatever).

Second full album from All Pigs Must Die. A mixture of hardcore punk, crust and Converge's craziness. Sweet artwork too.

I'd like to second this recommendation. Some gnarly shit right here. Also the full album is on Bandcamp.
