You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Really enjoying the latest Mammoth Grinder album atm. Unrelentingly thrashy hardcore/death metal from Texas, USA.

Nice! Thanks for this!

New Obsidian Tongue Album is coming out in 3 days. Right now the first 2 tracks are on Bandcamp and they sound excellent, particularly the 2nd track. Melodic Black Metal with some psychedelic vibe. And I almost forgot to mention the fantastic artwork.

This is some amazing grindcore that J.N. recommended me just a while ago.

I'm liking this a lot. Something feels a bit nostalgic when listening to this.

I know right? There really is an emotional aspect to it that you don't find everyday in grindcore (or powerviolence, whatever).

Second full album from All Pigs Must Die. A mixture of hardcore punk, crust and Converge's craziness. Sweet artwork too.

I'd like to second this recommendation. Some gnarly shit right here. Also the full album is on Bandcamp.

Fantastic! Bit too short though. Thought bands like this always have long songs.

Agrimonia is a post metal/sludge metal band from Sweden. The vocalist is female, but she can really scream well. It's really good shit. Their album, Rites of Separation was released on April 30th. Great hardcore vibes with the guitar tone, hardcore vocals but it can pretty melodic at times especially with the solos. It also includes a member of At the Gates.

Terrific rec, this rules hard. I have had it in my library for months now but because of you I finally gave it a listen. One of the best albums I have heard so far this year.

I know man, they have some awesome grooves and overall a very enjoyable listen. Their songs aren't too short either which is great.

The new Nihilistic Front album is up to scratch with their previous material. Really crushing death/doom, with some black elements thrown around.

Only proportionally speaking. I wouldn't say doom is any more popular than it used to be, unless you wanted to lump atmospheric sludge into that.

It's actually just that doomsters dominate the majority or our currently active community members.

Okay, this is not something most people on this site would dig, but I think this is one of the better "scenecore" bands out there and I reasonably like this album. Of course it has gay cleans and occasional synths, 200 junz per song and whatnot but w/e for some reason I always had a thing for these guys.

And then of course there's Asking Alexandria... For the record, nobody ever asked Alexandria anything ever again.

Just picked up Power Trips's debut album Manifest Decimation. By far the best album that has come out this year, and probably better than anything that has come out in 10 years in my opinion, extremely righteous stuff. Crossover in vein of Cro-Mags and Discharge. Definitely one of my new favorites.

Someone caught the patch way before I discovered this pretty good record.

Yeah, PT's Manifest sounds raw, fresh and ripping every song to the core. A great debut.

Well, for others who haven't check it out this record yet.

Description as what SuicidalCyco said.

Yes, Mr database manager. Not the first time this is happening.

But, hey, that record doesn't have any problem to get rec again. I'm pretty sure many people didn't checked that yet.
