You know the drill. Here's some rather fine sounding Cthulhu driven death metal that's not due for release until 2013, with extraordinarily beautiful cover artwork (check out the detail in the full image):

Been listening to this for the past few days. Probably my favorite thing from Quebec this year and they released a lot of cool shit!

Hot damn. If the rest of this album is on par with this track it'll easily make my top 10 for the year. Absolutely fantastic artwork too.

Not sure of it has been suggested here, so I post it
electro/industrial black metal. Tbh, its a little too much electronic for me but still pretty fun.

Somebody has to explain the appeal of themed-bands to me, even this socalled roman death metal stuff doesnt sound roman at all it just sounds like death metal. The only thing i could really HEAR the lovecraftian theme in the music was in the first album of The Axis of Perdition.

Sure you did, it's all how your mind perceives it. Just like how other themes appeal to other people.

It's not necessarily about the sound of the music, the theme is typically in the lyrics, imagery and artwork; several bands will also use sound bites. That's why you're not HEARing the Roman or Chthonian themes in bands like Ade, Grond or Sulphur Aeon. Some themed bands do try to incorporate the theme into their music, but a lot of the time the theme is just in the lyrics, imagery and artwork. Some bands that do actually base their music off the theme would be Amon Amarth (Viking) and Ex Deo (Roman).

Progenie Terrestre Pura is a flawless mixture of varying styles (black metal, electronic, industrial, ambient, etc...) into one massively brilliant album.

Whorecore has released their latest album a few days ago. I haven't heard it in yet because I'm lazy, but I hope this means I will get to see them live soon. Here's the link.

Discovering quite a bit of Polish BM bands. Most of them sound the same.
But from time to time some good riffs pop in, like here (the one at 1:03 is epic):

Yeah that Lantern release is great. Dark Descent Records really has a solid roster of bands atm, here's another upcoming release from them. Black/Thrash from UK. Love the artwork, and the music is even better:

"The Pendulum Burns" by brazilian Alternative/Modern Metal Optical Faze. It's produced by Rhys Fullber (Paradise Lost, Fear Factory), it's worth the try. It's a really great album - agressive and a little bit melancholic, I think. I recommend the track "Red Sun", my favorite of the album.

You can hear all the songs of the album in their official website (except for two bonus tracks). The link: http://www.opticalfaze.com.br/

The new self-titled Revocation album is amazing. Dave Davidson's guitar work is just fantastic. Heavy thrash riffs with blasting death metal drums, and wonderful harmony guitar work. Mix in the brutal onslaught of growled vocals and it's just an amazing trip through this album. I definately recommend the song "Invidious". Thrashy through most of the song and the brutal heavy riff at the end encompasses everything this band is about in one song. Plus the banjo break is just hilarious.

Avantgarde/experimental metal with a lot of jazz influence coming from Kayo Dot in their new album "Hubardo". They are quite well know in the scene (band was formed by members of mauldlin of the Well), but I think they weren't mentioned in this thread yet. General consensus seems to be that is their best album since their debut. You can hear 3 of their new songs in their bandcamp page, I recommend "Passing the River":
