My history with Pop began with Michael Jackson, but, for example, I do like the Welsh artist Marina, who writes most of her music as well.

I was just about to post something about Marina & the Diamonds. My wife likes her quite a lot and I think she's alright. I find her first album to be more interesting than her second, though.

My wife also really likes the indie-pop/rock group Florence & the Machine, which is also pretty decent.

Oh yeah, and then there's also Venus Hum, which makes some pretty cool electronic pop:

Why ? Doesnt New Zealand have any pop singer... ? Actually i dont know much of famous Kiwi musical artists but besides The Disciple Of Zoldon, one of the band video clip is very scary.

The creeping of her because she mixes in darkwave gothic style with somewhat general popy culture, if shes completely goth, metal or totaly darkness style or else total pop slut then i wont be awe. also i never seen much young chick with that style in pop general scene...actually i never been awed by females metaller goth or so be...that lorde seems is unique, quite young, i like the meaning of the song Royal though i dislike her hair, cuz of inborn fear of the witch look.. ha this scorpio november chick.
