Year Of No Light - Sign With Debemur Morti Productions
Year Of No Light have signed a deal with Debemur Morti Productions. The band is currently recording Tocsin, their next (and third) album which should be out in the fall of 2013. According to the band, you can expect something loud, twisted and tripping.
Label press release: "In its ceaseless quest for mystical emotions, Debemur Morti Productions is particularly proud to announce the signing of a new jewel, the colossal leader of the instrumental post metal movement Year Of No Light."
The band comments: "We're proud to join such a revered entity, known for its true dedication to the Black Arts. This is an unexpected & promising path for Year Of No Light and its twisted sonic liturgies."
Vampyr, which will be released on May 7th (2xLP featuring a CD version), captures the band's last live performance facing C. T Dreyer's masterpiece. In 2009, an old time friend and promoter asked the group about creating and performing an original piece for a "to be defined silent film". Year Of No Light worked on C.T. Dreyer's Vampyr.
