It's not a good sign when the best song on an album is the first one. And with their self-titled album, Revocation start off brilliantly with opener "The Hive" before sinking into the mire of mediocrity.

But hey what a great song it is. There's a real demented modern thrash vibe here full of violence and wild abandon. The chorus especially comes across as the musical equivalent of a seizure with spastic riffs accentuated by bizarre little harmonics and death metal vocals.

IDK if they got some crazy rules against posting links lol

Nah, I think it's just posting links to illegal downloads and leaks. Other links are fine I think

This album is excellent, and certainly the band's best. Listening to 'Spastic', 'Invidious' and 'A visitation' alone give me the good metal chills.

Solid output. 8/10. Quality kind of drops off toward the end of the album for me. I think I enjoyed Chaos of Forms more.

So amazing, I adore it. I expected less from this band, but this amazed me.
Their cover of Dyers' Eve was like a more groovy and technical version of Metallica's with Jason Newsted on vocals.

I don't think it's a coincidence Spastic is my favourite track here, the vocals are not good.

Agreed. Now it's definitely one of the best metal albums I've acquired all year. I dare say the best record I've acquired this year.

It's got its moments. That Dyers Eye cover, for instance.
