Sepultura - Share New Album Cover Art And Tracklist

After the reveal of their new album title as The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart, obviously trying to rival with Nile in terms of length, thrash metallers Sepultura have today unveiled the cover art that will grace their new release. You can see below the artwork that was created by Brazilian artist Alexandre Wagner, who specializes in charcoal drawing techniques as well as the tracklist. It shouldn't take much longer for the new music to be shared too.

The new album is set for release on October 25th, 2013 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment and will feature the guest appearance of Dave Lombardo.

Also from Belo Horizonte like Sepultura, Alexandre was glad to be part of the band's history: "It's impossible to be from Belo Horizonte and not know the band. Some of their albums followed me for a long time, especially Chaos AD. I remember seeing Refuse/Resist on TV and thinking it was wonderful. It's really cool to work with the guys, being part of something together. It is somehow a shared history."

The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart tracklist:

01. Trauma Of War
02. The Vatican
03. Impending Doom
04. Manipulation Of Tragedy
05. Tsunami
06. The Bliss Of Ignorants
07. Grief
08. The Age Of The Atheist
09. Obsessed
10. Da Lama ao Caos [Chico Science & Nação Zumbi cover]
11. Stagnate State Of Affairs [bonus]
12. Zombie Ritual [Death cover] [bonus]

I don't know if it's just me but something called Age of the Atheist would seem a little out of place on one of their classic records. Some other bad song titles here too. Expectations not too high.

I like the artwork though. But the name for the album is really stupid. Ruins the bottom strip for me

OK, I didn't mean all the titles, but Trauma of War or Impending Doom I think would easily fit at any of their early records.
But I totally agree with the album name, it's ridiculous or at least not a sepultura-fitting title.

Fair enough, I can agree with that. I guess they did have a track called Troops of Doom

Sadly, I highly doubt the new album will be on par quality wise with their old stuff. I find myself saying that for a lot of new albums but it's just so damn right all the time. But I am open to surprises.

I actually like it. Sepultura aren't a band I associate with great album artwork, anyway.

They sort of remind of the old sepultura song titles too like something Max would do

Kinda shity album cover, very somber and lack of life, which is almost the opposite of what the album title reads, which in turn is a weird or not-to-fit for a Sepultura album title.
Hopefully it will be a good Sepultura album (Derrick Green era), not related to the old Sepultura, of course.

I like the cover. Sepultura never disappoints live. This may just be another step up. Their last album was good.
