Quite enjoying this album.

Yes it's a solid album indeed. Discovered this a few weeks ago when browsing Solitude Production's bandcamp page, and swiftly bought it along with a bunch of other great releases that label has put out recently.

I'm sold, needs to hear it asap.

Problem is that most bands on Solitude Productions, albeit quite good, are extremely bog standard funeral doom and death doom. They don't have any extremely good bands on their roster (although Narrow House might evolve into it)

I would go for Ophis.

Haha well I quite enjoyed 'The Womb Beyond The World' although their other releases didn't do much for me.

Enth is terrible imo and Evoke Thy Lords not good either, Shattered Hope good but bog standard death doom, and just like Ophis some band members are good friends of mine. But that doesn't make their music not-standard

I am a fan of all doom even the standard stuff, but that doesn't keep from realizing what is standard genric doom and what isn't. All I am saying is that Solitude Productions is a label full with standard generic doom bands, and then espcially the Russian bands (although I said that in another thread ).

nope, he's not, he's stil as stagnant as ever. He quite being Marcel 2.0 some time ago only to change into JOOE 2.0. Rod will only evolve if he finds a voice of his own. Currently Boxcar Tanner has more a voice of his own than Roddy boy ;-)

enjoyed this from teh bandcamp page Psyko shared... first thought, though, was "this sounds like a Solitude band". Must have been released before they started sending me packages every 90 days.

They have some good bands on the label, some a I've enjoyed a lot, even if reinventing the wheel, just a lot of decent albums and some sub-par. Evoke Thy Lords, Station D, Narrow House (who are evolving) Shattered Hope, Abske Fides, Stangala could evolve into something. Loved the Enth I heard, but only two tracks.

I assumed you already knew about them since you get stuff from them regularly, didn't know though it was every 90 days. This came out end of August, so you'll probably get it on the next shipment.

That's just cuz Troy left. He no longer had a role model's every post and taste to hang on. Personally I'd say he's more a Marcel 2.0 than Rod ever could be. Seems like most of the posts I see from him nowadays are about how a lot of modern albums are either crap, boring or mediocre...much like your posts.
