Here's what you need to know: a rift in post-metal has formed.

Its location: Poland.

Its meaning: mental torment.

Metal Storm helped me discover this band, one that, as you will soon realize, I have been completely and utterly seduced by.

Some of it leaves me a bit cold, but the entity of last three tracks is fantastic.

After many listens, I have realized that this album isn't quite as great as I initially thought. It's damn good, but the last three tracks or so are not nearly as great as what preceded it, imo.

It left quite a similar impression on me after I've listened to it a couple of times (except for the Presence of Godess, which I still consider to be one of the highlights). But like you say, the two tracks before it are closer to an atmospheric stuffing than proper, individual songs.

Are you aware that it shares a riff with Decimation?

That I actually did notice, though it's a bit difficult to explain why I find the two songs so different (I'm not talking about the choir, of course).

I actually found another one: the outro/intro section of Void/The Presence... is also in the intro of Decimation. The last three tracks are a single composition, kinda like what The Ocean did on Pelagial

Perhaps that is why they sound a bit dull to me, they are just a prelude and the finale comes with Presence. Dunno. I think Pelagial (if I should compare these two) is a lot more conceptually sophisticated.

Without any doubt, this album is really very interesting and inspiring.. But what is doubtful, is that is it really the best one of 2013?..

First listen and I'm in love with the singer, she is great! Also like the djenty edge to the doom/sludge.
Will be listening a lot more to this.

I've listened to this twice now and fail to hear the magic so many others seem to be hearing. It came off as slightly boring and the vocals were a bit of a weak spot to me, but I can understand what people like about their sound - just not my thing. I'd probably give it a 6/10, maybe a 7 if I'm feeling generous.

hehe yeah it's the same case.

I can't believe that at most Troy would rate this 7 ! I'm not trying to push my fav to anyone's ears, but come on this album easily stands out, the vocalist is definitely the strong point of not only this album but also the whole band, they owe so much of their success having this gem as their vocalist.

For me the vocals are one of the weak points, clean voice is nothing from the other world and the yells are even irritating sometimes. Music itself is not bad, simply unmemorable. A few good riffs here and there, but after two spins I don't think I want to listen to it again.

This is more a matter of personal preference than anything, but I think the exact opposite. The vocals were the first thing I noticed here, in a bad way. They come across as weak and even annoying at times, and the music doesn't do much to distract me from that. It isn't a bad album, but it's just really not what I look for in an album.

Agreed, vocals are very annoying. They have the classic "hey look at me I'm a girl singing in a metal band! I'm one of the guys!" vibe. First listen is okay, riffs are heavy, tone is nice. Probably won't give it anymore attention though.

You coudl give a try to their debut. I honestly think it's better than this one (I enjoy this one as well though).

WHAT !!!!

I think you need to relax a little. Not everyone who posts here is going to agree with you and we certainly aren't all going to rave about this the way you want. You've quoted literally every user who has posted a different opinion than you in this thread and you get yourself all worked up over a difference of personal taste.
