Metal art of dissonance as I love it.
Rules:
- on album per band, unless the band has very different albums.
-I'm not picky for albums released before 2000.
-I'm not picky for genres that are to some degrees unusual for the dissonance, like sludge metal.

You were actually one of the few (together with Innerself and Fritillaria) who I wanted to tell about the joke and ask to go along with it for the lolz.
haha I wish you did, I wish that joke could last longer

The only reason why the joke didn't last longer wasn't because the staff was afraid of people leaving or stupid lists... It was because it might have been disrespectful towards Ivan who didn't know anything about it and was going to get some messages sooner or later by the angry crowd. I bet that if he was online that day it would have lasted way longer. xD

You just twisted my words in the first point. I wrote "wasn't", not "was". As for the second point, no... You don't get it. Some of the staffers felt it would be disrespectful towards Ivan if he got a bunch of stupid messages out of a joke that some others planned. The messages itself are useless. The problem was giving him stuff he didn't know about. If he was around to know beforehand the joke would have lasted way longer.
I also, I don't rant... That's what I believe. This is waaaaaaaaaaay offtopic now so I won't comment on it anymore.

ah, that wasn't serious, I mean I wrote the previous comment in a joking tone.Alright, sorry for way being off-topicness and making irrelevant jokes, I guess I'm not going to write in the same tone again in no other comments , it can be misinterpreted for just not making it clear.

I'm sorry as well. I guess I was in my period for a moment.

Yes, but I was not hit as hard as you, Mary, 3rdworld and MechT =p
Maybe, I wouldn't know about that. Mary was furious as hell though, which actually was damn funny to me. I was mostly baffled by the decision because I simply couldn't believe that the staff would do a thing like that, hahaha.
Actually, I gave thumbs up to that list but yes, he was also pretty an angry I guess.
Same here. If we were kept in the dark by the staff the whole weekend, then I'm sure that list would've been extremely popular since basically everyone who likes lists would give their +1 to that list immediately. Damn, I actually wouldn't liked to see that, even though I'm glad I was only fooled for about 15 minutes or so.
Or the dude who made that ridiculous list as a petition. Hex something.
Hex_Omega made that list and I gave him my +1 too of course. Why not? Then we still didn't know it was a joke, so not that strange he made a list like that, especially seeing as he's a bit obsessed with his own list. I guess everyone who creates lists (everyone except for Marcel that is ) knows how addictive it can be...
Fabulous. Oddly enough, I checked Lithotome after my previous post. From the other links you provided, I only was familiar with a void in coma.
The best ones were Temple Koludra and Temple of Baal. Mania was also cool. Will check the entire albums.
"Downloading diet broken"
Written by Warman on 07.11.2007 at 22:39 Haha, that's like saying "compose your own Metal album and upload it here, instead of writing a review of an album".
also i"d like to suggest VVorld VVithout End by Katharsis
I wouldn't call that album dissonant on the whole, though there are a few examples of dissonance on it. It's just noisy old school black metal basically. You could add any raw black metal album here if that went here.
I"d say Fas is far more dissonant than Kenose, but i agree that both are atonal
also i"d like to suggest VVorld VVithout End by Katharsis
I don't like Fas as much as other people here. It's good but not on the same level of kenos and since Fas and kenos are similar in approach, I only include that EP here.
Regarding VVorld VVithout End, I like it but don't really think it fits here. This list has a very modern sprite overall I guess which VVVVE lacks.
I baffle myself as to how I forgot to recommend Combat Astronomy. Suits perfectly here with their peculiar mix of dissonant Industrial/Avantgarde.
thank you. New suggestions are highly appreciated.
I think you once mentioned Combat Astronomy somewhere in forums. Their description on last.fm and progarchives sounds quiet interesting to say at least. Will check them tomorrow.

Think Portal but with a less denser sound. Excellence, in dissonance.
I stumbled upon their name a few days ago as they were mentioned as a band similar to portal and Gorguts somewhere. This track you posted is very good. Will track down the whole thing ASAP.
Thanks
No Ævangelist? Also think Primitive Man would work here, or Dead Congregation? I don't know; Dissonant is such a vague term.
I really don't think that Aevangelist fit here, even with their 2nd album (which, even if it had dissonance, I would not have included it here due to the shitiness) and that omniquity. Their death metal approach on debut was pretty standard in terms of arrangement. What makes them so especial is their ability to weave blackend death and noise/ambience.
I'm not sure about primitive man. Once considered them as a condidate but forgot to confirm their addition by further listening to their debut.
Finally, I'm not a fan of Dead Congregation. Did not like their debut that much and have not heard yet their new record. I'm planning to re-check their catalog but if I don't like their music again, even if they employ dissonance, they would not be added. I only try to add albums which fit the context of list and also I personally enjoy. (Admittedly, I'm been thinking about elimination of some of albums on this list, since I seem to be pleased easily )
Fuck it, I will check these bands tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestions.
