Glad to see some bands I thought they would never bring to such a festival. Good number goodies aside the big names that get all the attention too !

Hmm, The Ruins of Beverast playing. Might have to do this fest this year.

Ditching my plans to go to Bloodstock & just bought me & my wife tickets for Hellfest instead. This is just too good to pass up.

I should be going as well, sick lineup, hope the rest will be worth the price of the ticket

Confirmed, I'm there. Ticket purchased.

Arranged myself a very cheap and uncomplicated transport, which also helped to this decision.

3 day pass sold out ! Only a few day tickets for friday and sunday left... I think there will be too much people for it to be comfortable, was to be expected with dat lineup though...

Bought the tickets yesterday; today they are gone. Such luck.
The lineup is sick, good god. And the best thing is, that already I can rest assured that my favorites do not perform simultaneously, since they are pretty much on the same stage each day. 2 days of Altar and Main Stage 2 for the finale, and the ultimate topping: Emperor. Never had I believed I'd see them live.

Late to the party! I cant wait for Hellfest! It seems so far away!

Looks like the running order leaked.

As expected, a few clashes happen (it's HF after all, so no drama) except they decided to put Emperor and Vreid/Windir and the same time ! Coming from far away for this, and those two are the bands I'm definitely most looking forward to, and they play at the same f-u-c-k-i-n-g time !!! Quite incomprehensible since they appeal to the same crowd and are the only ones doing something "special". What a letdown.

Because of certain matters I won't be able to go, unfortunately.

If anyone would like to go to this fest and has no ticket, contact me through the PM or mail and we can arrange something.

The clashes are a little annoying. The problem with this lineup is there are a lot of big names, and a lot of no-names. So there isn't much to see at the start and then clashes at the end. I think i lose out on half the bands i wanted to originally see.... oh well.

Actually, seeing all the fuzz it has created, I'm confident that they'll change Emperor and Vreid to play not simultaneously. At least, I want believe so, 'cause that's just rude.
No other hassle for me, just some minor decisions of ranking bands based on how much I'm willing to see them, meaning missing a few good ones.
Septicflesh > Slayer (Hanneman is dead, Lombardo is away and they are like 60 years old. No brainer)
Kataklysm > Iron Maiden (I don't see me getting another change to see them anytime soon, and I can still manage it to the second half)
Avenged Sevenfold > Carcass (I don't really give a rat's ass of Sevenfold, but my friend is a huge fan, so I guess I'll go with him. Otherwise, I'd definately see Carcass, but it ain't too much of a loss)

I'm interested in hearing from fellow Stormers going, so here is my take on the schedule; green circle means I''m going no matter what, non-discolored means I'm intreseted and I'm probably seeing it and red area means I'm not exactly sure what to do (multiple good bands overlapping). If you have any professional pointers which bands to see regarding the red areas or parts of the schedule, mainly mornings, in which I have nothing marked as important, please share your hints.

If they wanted to stop fraud they would have done this months ago, not now that a load of people got ripped off buying more expensive tickets. I mean, 5 days before the fest starts ? Reaaaally ?


Well, still excited for this, heading for France on Monday and hagging around till Thursday which will be onwards to Clissooooon !!!

add to this the great quality of most of the shows. Bands were really on a high roll these three days.

Just got back and must say I had a fuckin' great time !!!

However, it's getting a bit too big for my taste and not happy with how a few things are managed so I think I'm done with HF... Still had the chance to witness some massive shows yet again, so I'm happy for that

that's indeed the biggest criticism I've heard during all week-end and from many different people. And I agree too.

Having to queue, sometimes for ages, to get into the arena area was fucking stupid. They could have at least put a canopy or something over it to stop people burning to death in the sun from standing there with no shade. I also don't get the point of the beer token thing which just means twice as much queueing and I wasn't too happy with all the band time changes. That being said it was a great fest, and The Ruins of Beverast were the only musical disappointment.
