Never heard them and can't because my relatives probably think i a'm weird enough as it is, but they sound really interesting and a'm really keen to hear them

Queensrÿche (Todd LaTorre one) in January

The Musical Box (Genesis Tribute Act) in February, I know it's not metal, but I'm probably even more excited about this show than the Queensrÿche show to be honest (which should still be great regardless). They're as close to the classic 70s Genesis as you can get really (even the original band is nothing like the original band these days, especially since the 80s).

Barren Earth have been so quiet recently that I forgot they're going into the studio sometime in the coming few months.

New Nocturnal Breed and Corpsessed are 2 releases I'm awaiting.

that sounds very hopeful, though i haven't even thoroughly listened to "Songs of Moors & Misty Fields" and "Where at Night the Wood Grouse Plays" yet

Blut Aus Nord's Memoria Vetusta III was announced for this year, but now it looks more like it'll have a 2014 release. Very curious to see Vindsval dive back into that series of albums, I enjoyed the 777 trilogy and the band's more experimental direction, but I'd also like to see something along more BM lines. Not straight BM, but something of a fusion, like a natural blend of Fathers Of The Icy Age and The Desanctification, or something like that.

Other than that... most looking forward to Hail Spirit Noir and A Forest Of Stars. Will be interesting to see what WITTR do after Celestial Lineage, and how Tom Warrior follows up Triptykon's debut. Mastodon, Be'lakor, and Solstafir also have me pretty hyped.

Maybe 5-6 months ago their fb page had an update implying that they are writing/recording new material. I asked them " New album already?" and they answered "Soon".
I'm actually surprised that they have not announced anything official up to now or have not given any update.

Excellent news then, always a plus to have great musicians who deliver quality material in relatively short periods of time.

I agree, I was a little disappointed by their Purging but that was still one hell of an album. I just hope that like their debut, they go for a less direct, riff based sound and use drones in greater quantities.

Yeah, I preferred The Tunnels too. Terra Tenebrosa seem to be one of those bands that try out a different formula on each album though, so I'm sure that this new one, while having traces of the first two, will still be a distinct creation in itself. I like that in a band though, in a way it keeps the listeners on their toes.

New albums from Ancient, Within Temptation, Devon Townsend Project, Sigh and Limp Bizkit.
And a Cronulla Sharks grant final win, of course. And the release of Virgin Black's Requiem: Pianissimo.
