Intro | New | Edge.. The playlists are just insane for music discovery. Just click on the two arrows on the right of a genre's name to access the details page of that genre and the playlists links.
Did you guys ever hear of everynoise ? A former SPotify employee built a whole website based on genres added to artists. One can navigate all genres, see the related genres, and the best is there are a few playlists for each genre
Written by deadone on 24.02.2014 at 01:49 It's totally wierd but I can't pay for a download. Unless I have something physical in my hands. I don't feel like I own it.
I'm exactly like that. Unless I have a physical copy in my CD shelf, it doesn't feel I'm owning the album. Never paying for downloads.
Written by Boxcar Willy on 24.02.2014 at 23:58 Would you pay for a digital picture of a painting?
Not to get too off-topic, but I think of paintings and music as apples and oranges. I would pay for digital music (Bandcamp) but that's because I get to keep the files on my hard drive. I wouldn't buy a digital picture because I'd rather be able to frame it or hang it up somewhere rather than just keeping it buried in a folder or displayed as my desktop background.

I'm thinking this about albums as well. Need to have the albums I own visible in the shelf, not stored on the computed, not visible
Recently found a pretty good Finnish death metal band called Lie in Ruins. They're on the same label as Mitochondrion and Corpsessed. A pretty nice mix of old school riffing, modern/dense production, and great howling-ish vocals.

Wait I have one more. Sea of Bones second release. This thing is really awesome. A nice mix of sludge, doom, a little drone, and some psychedelic tinges. Fucking awesome
Well, haven't heard it yet, but based on the bands line-up, I would say that God of Atheists' upcoming album could be woth a listen. http://www.godofatheists.com/
I could never even imagine myself voting for a video in the awards, but if this one makes it this year I'll probably give it a vote. Very cool stuff. The song is also excellent. It is Conan though of course, so to be expected.

Holy shit the new Conan is out! Thanks for the reminder. As for the vid and song, most definitely a Mammoth sound as usual I hear.
