Heh, ok I did wait around to see if someone more worthy would make a thread about them but nope, looks like it's down to me.

Everyone's fave slavic black metal band (don't take literally). These guys are gaining some serious momentum. 4 highly praised full lengths in as many years, they're big business.

Playing a very unusual style and form of black metal they seem to focus more on nature and a warm, encompassing atmosphere that you would never expect to find in this genre. This band really don't need any introduction really, everyone knows 'em.

My personal fave albums are their first two, I much prefered the warmness and congenial approach on them concerning the actual music. 'Autumn Aurora' is my absolute fave. 'The Swan Road' was lost on me, as I suspect 'Blood In Our Wells' will be too when I get around to listening to it properly. The production on both was vastly different, giving the albums a different standpoint to the other two. Ceratinly not bad albums though.

Zombie, M.D.

I ordered it from Supernal when it was released and had no problems. I used paypal though. I really suggest you do the same. Its fairly safe and if they dick you around paypal is generally pretty good about getting your money back.

edit: The reason I mentioned paypal is because they have a built in currency converter.

Yup should be. I use it to avoid the costs my bank sets up for valuta changes.

Though, it took me a while to find out where all my money was going. Then I found out they had allready ripped me off 30 euro for such matters!! They charge about 10 euro's simply for paying someone in dollars.

Fuck, I was depressed when I found out about that.

If anyone here wants to get a copy of Drudkh's "Anti-Urban", I may be selling it for a good offer.

Drudkh is a brilliant band. One of the best bands, I've ever discovered. And I'm really looking forward to the new album. Oh, btw, Blood In Our Wells and Autumn Aurora are really great albums!

Definitely one of the best bands in the BM scene today. So far I´ve only got Autumn Aurora and Blood In Our Wells, both jewels in my CD-collection. Lots of national romanticism (not national socialism) and heathen pride. I can see beautiful landscape surrounding me while listening to them.

Im glad you enjoyed both thoose releases, which in my opinion also are their greatest. I will however also recommend you to check out Forgotten Legends and The Swan Road. Just a warning though, The Swan Road has a really "metal" sound to it, compared to other drudkh releases..I still love it though

All the Drudkh release is a gem , but i love theForgotten Legends sounds .... more epic riffs with long solo's , awesome atmosphere. That album is very special for me. My favorite is Autumn Aurora .... oh what an album.

I thought that for a while too, I was pretty disappointed. But I put headphones on one day and listened to it while doing my homework, and it's actually pretty good. It's repetitive, but I have actually grown to like that album. I think it takes a few solid listens to appreciate it.

EDIT:@Basso: How did you hear Estrangement? I've pre-ordered it from Supernal Music and I still haven't recieved my CD.... Should I have gotten it by now? I ordered it probably over a month ago.

It leaked. And if you pre-ordered it, it means they will start shipping on the release date.

EDIT: Sorry, I forgot that the special version was to be released earlier..

let me answer for Hembrom: Estrangement is just a poor man's "Blood In Our Wells"... predictable, unispired and damn those guitar solos truly suck...

it just sounds a little weird, because they never really used solo's in their songs.

Dude you need to start listening before talking... They have used solos on almost all their albums.. The Swan Road has one almost each song, also Blood in Our wells. There are even two solos on AA. Also the soloing is very typical their usual solos, so I dont see how it feels wierd.

Basso is right, Drudkh had used solos before (I don't remember them in Autumn Aurota though, I'll check next time with more atention), but in Blood In Our Wells they sounded very fresh and fluently, going along well with the hypnotism of the atmosphere, while in Estrangement they sound misplaced, you're forced to immediately note them, note that something's out of place and boycoting the ambient, and creating ambients are the ultimate gearing that make Drudkh masters inside the genre.

Autumn Aurora is my favourite, heard a track of the new album which sounds pretty awesome, can't wait to buy that when I get the money (broke again XD).
I bought the Anti Urban vinyl from Supernal but can't listen to it just yet because apparently someone put the vinyl player in a rubbish skip -_-

I've listened to the new album before, but since i didn't listen to any Drudkh for some time now i couldn't really tell if i liked it or not.
So today i pu up Autumn Aurora and Blood in our wells and only after that the new album. now i could really hear it. and damn it's good. those solos really make a difference. the music is so thick this time and so raw. i don't think if it could be in my top 10 for this year, but it's defenetly an awsome piece of work.

I'll definitely have to grab this album, despite the mixed reviews I've been reading. Even if it's a "poor man's 'Blood In Our Wells'", it'll be a lot better than most of the crap that's around these days.
