Strange, but "The System Has Failed" is one of my Megadeth favorite albums.
I go to "Risk", it's not a good album, although is better than Metallica's St. Anger.

Are you serious?, this topic about "Megadeth's Worst Album" NOT "Megadeth's Best Album".

Everything between and including Risk- United Abmoninations is bland and uninspired to e honest, thats coming from a massive Megadeth fan. The World Needs a Hero is my least favourite, the best two songs on that album are 1) Ripped off from Diamond Head. 2) Ripped off themselves.

Risk, of course.
United Abominations was great. I loved "Sleepwalker" especially. And "The System Has Failed" is underrated, I don't think it was bad at all.

Oh I see he meant like...in addition to his vote, he wanted to point out that one of the options listed is actually a good album.
I hate when I misinterpret stuff.

That's what I thought he meant at first, he just worded it strangely.

Rad=Radical, so yeah that is what I meant... Plus one song was on Duck Dodgers! What more could you ask for?

Risk is an aberration, even considering that the first two songs are pretty decent

I side with the majority when it comes to voting for Megadeth's worst album. Risk by far. It's like a poor-man's load.

Well when it's comparably such a colossal piece of crap, it's easy to poke it with a stick.

World Needs A Hero is the only Megadeth album I've had no inclination to listen to...ever. Not so with the rest of the band's discography. There's my vote.

Risk was brilliant. so fucking terrible it sort of etch-a-sketched how mediocre a decade worth of releases were... Countdown was still the biggest letdown they released. anyone who was expecting awesomeness by the time Risk was due was delusional.
to paraphrase Troy Killdave, Countdown was a poor man's Black Album, and the rest of the 90's followed suit.
