Great Idea of samples and Nintendo sounds. I would say it needs a bit more of thoses weird parts, like Genghis Tron, more Ninendo atmospheres and bridges, Maybe a two vocals combo. Check out Genghis Tron for Inspiration. DON'T check out Horse the Band for inspiration. Check Out Metroid soundtracks.

Keep it up it's cool-ish. Just a bit "young" imo (I mean the concept needs to develop a bit further)

You guys are already taking it a bit too serious. I should have signified this is just a joke bands that I spent very little time on. Very little attention paid to mixing and even less to making it sound good.

I picked such a stupid band name for a reason.

@Mournful Woods: I want to record dual vocals for the stuff, but I dont have a microphone currently.

How do you record the Guitar ? What's the gear ? What do you use to create the nintendo sounds ? plugins with fruity loop ? Have you got the intention to produce more of thoses songs ?

The guitar is a line in to my sound card with a Line6 POD in between the two. All the drums and nintendo sounds are, as you assumed, fruity loops plugins. Everything was recorded into Soundforge and I used Fruity Loops as multitracker for the guitars out of sheer laziness, so I could mix it in with the drums and other shit in one run. Typically I would have used acid pro or audition. For my other bands I always recorded the vocals through a pair of studio headphones, but that requires you to be very loud which can be difficult with deeper vocals.

Ive got four or five more songs which need guitar parts recorded, and 2 others that arent on the myspace. It will all be released on a split CDR with Anti-Ben in the near(?) future.

Not a bad cybergrind project. I like it alot. I'm getting ready to buy some recording equipment so I can record for my Joke grind band as well lol. Pretty cool. I think I'll send a request. Ironically enough, it seems that we're both also Illinois natives. My two favorite tracks were Puppy Pizza Party, and One Tough badass.

Thanks for the comments. A couple songs have vocals. The last song on the myspace, Popularize Elementary School Education, has vocals. I don't own a microphone anymore though, which is the primary reason for the lack of vocals. That and most of the songs are filled with retarded sound clips from cartoons and stupid movies.
