Great news. These guys and Chthonic from Taiwan are the most impressive from the Far East Asian metal scene.

I would not include them simply because these bands (Chthonic, Onmyouza) come up with the specifics of the area from which they originate. Chthonic has the folk elements and Onmyouza too. Dir En Gray is more like a blending of American/European metal styles without that trademark of the area they represent (though for a while they did belong to the Visual Kei style). Bad shit is about Onmyouza... their music is very restrictive to the Japanese market and makes it hard for Europeans or Americans to purchase their works (found them at 2-3 times the normal price).

Got one CD by them, it's okay. Could do without the chick singer.

Now! That's What I Call News
This is my third favorite band, and to announce two new albums is just splendid!
This is something I wish to see from bands like Dragonland and Symphony X as well, it probably won't happen, but one can wish.
At least this band's doing it, and judging by the single this is going to be a blast, perhaps the best Onmyo-Za album/albums to date?
Can't wait!

Yeah, they're amazing too. Though I would not really trade them for Chthonic or Onmyouza.
