Who Needs A Throat Anyway.

All things modern hardcore. There will be no grind or sludgcore in this list in order to avoid duplicates. You will find some grind here and some sludgecore here. If it is classic hardcore punk you seek, I advise you to try Lit.'s list.

- Since I moved those heavy ones, I'll need some time to rearrange and fill this up with all the hardcore goodness I said no to before.
- Order changes depending on what I am currently obsessed with

I was far too impressionable when I first started listening to metal. I heard -core was for "posers" and immediately disregarding anything of the sort. Only recently was I able to smack myself out of that misinformed daze and enjoy some -core

Just checked: I've only heard songs from Sound Of The Republic and Veil Of Ignorance. Off to listen to their 2000 release! I'll let you know the verdict

Yeah, seriously young people are stupid. Same here, only last May I unclenched my sphincter and let myself enjoy it. That time might have come much faster if I hadn't been pouting at all extreme music from mid-2008 to mid-2014 though.

Okay, I'm writing those names down. Seeing how much I love this, I'll do a discog run in the coming days, starting with those two and we'll see if you liked those songs for a reason .

Turns out I really enjoyed Ignoring The Guidelines; it helped me study as well I can't guarantee those two albums will be better though - I probably just liked them at the time for their catchy tunes Time to listen to Dedication

Well I'm glad it turns out we both like it after all . I tried Sound Of The Republic, and it slays. I've eaten a lot of Raised Fist in 24 hours, so all this will need digesting. I'll keep my eyes ears peeled for something similar and tell you about it.

Sound Of The Republic is probably my favourite at the moment, but - like you - I've really stuffed my face with this band so I'll see how I feel after a while Please do! If there's more hardcore out there for me, I want to hear it

Might I suggest these albums:

Isolation by Harm's Way (breakdown-heavy metallic hardcore).
Sky Burial and Testing the Limits of Infinite by Reign Supreme (see above).
A Dissident by Victims (d-beat).
Nightmares by From Ashes Rise (gloomy d-beat).
Fading into Darkness, Drowning in Myself by Recluse (blackened hardcore with some post).
Prepare to be Let Down and Hell Is Empty by Ruiner (one of the best hardcore acts IMO).
Don't Need a Reason by Downpresser.
Greying by The Banner (gothic hardcore/post-punk).

I'm sure you've heard of these before but oh well, maybe others haven't. I'll leave this here.

I found this list after checking out Dr. Livingstone latest release, Contemptus Saeculi and the selections of this list are equally bad.

Why those bands still remained deep underground ? The reasons are clear cut.

Says the guy who's probably never even heard of 80% of the bands listed and calls -joke incoming, hilarity ensues- Opeth a post death rock band.
Go make your own hardcore list and go spread your idiocy somewhere else.

Harm's Way is in another list of mine. Indeed I've listened to/heard of some of these. I might lose internet access for a few days and am less inclined to listen to new music right now, but when I get to it, I'll keep you informed. The gesture is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's very easy to be DIFFERENT (such as this list) but very difficult to be GOOD (such as this list).
I strongly suggest you delete this list in order not to misleading people.

(Btw, Opeth - Damnation is a post/progressive rock album, not a post death rock album. I have rectified my mistake weeks ago. Thanks for giving me another chance to rectify the mistake again in here )

And you have not given ONE reason to back your disruptive post as usual. I'm pretty sure you haven't listened to five of these albums, and I don't think you could come up with your own hardcore list because if you had any actual albums to share you would have talked about it. So I deduced that Mr Igno Rantass just wants to bring attention to himself as usual and this is just an attempt at pissing me off.
I suggest you go back to the vagina whence you came if it's attention you crave. I've been more or less polite so far because you don't deserve getting angry or getting a ban over. Get lost.

Thanks Marcel, I find you've been following me and showed extremely high interest in my personal stuff. I think I have gained some popularity here as a lot of members not only once checking my background

To clear your doubt...I am a Singaporean and having a small wine & spirit trading company in Johor Bahru (Malaysia) which is about 15mins drive from Singapore (through the causeway link, a bridge). The reason I prefer to use Malaysia IP is because due to my work and also give me more freedom to criticize Singapore government through internet. Listening to metal is only part of my hobby since I was 15, I was very surprise to realize that many people here are very easy to get angry with little personal comments from others.

The reason why your ip was checked is because you spout the exact same nonsense as Lustful Maid who is from Malaysia (KL, to be more precise and his last log in IP tracks back to PJ)
Only some staff members can check ip's so no regular users.
I checked the ip's because I suspect this account to be a double account even though Lustful Maid's wasn't used for more than 400 days to log in to MS and you started your account about a year ago.

You don't have to tell me what the causeway is, because I lived in Singapore from 78-83 and my parents lived in Malaysia (KL) from 89-95.

Funny you should mention JB as the place of your IP when both your registration IP and your last log in IP both show Kuala Lumpur (Petaling Jaya, to be more precise), Malaysia.

Why wouldn't you criticize your government if you don't agree with it? (that is if he really is Sungaporean and not a Malaysian trying to come across as a Singaporean on MS.
And, tbh, Singapore's government has always been quite oppressive, just like Malaysia's.

Not a proper topic to be discuss about oppressiveness of Singaporean govt. I have got to lot to say on this but in nutshell, they're now ATLEAST better than what they were. No one said to them to copy ruling dynasty like Nepal does.

But then, their govt. has lot of flaws on which country is struggling.

Have we gone too far ?
- You're right I always travel to KL as my biggest customers are mainly in Singapore and KL, I visit MS more often whenever I am alone in KL as I usually worked alone here all days, sometimes got too much time to kill...that's why sometimes I disappeared for months here whenever I was in JB.
- In KL, you can find almost 80% of metal albums here, whereas Singapore's records stores are very weak in metal's selection. JB is the worst.

Even you've checked my IP, I still won't consider changing my point of view on this list.
