Mehhhh.... I know the lineup's still incomplete, but I'm really not feeling it too much. Seen Triptykon, Goatwhore, Bolzer, Pig Destroyer, Goatsnake, Magrudergrind, and Bongzilla all before, and not too interested in the others. It really sucks that most of these lineups are never completed before tix go onsale to provide better context to judge, would be much more useful if they took to that the way Maryland Deathfest does their organizing.

Anyways, y'all have fun though. I'll get my chance to harass and pick on Rod at Roadburn anyway

Currently feel the same about Roadburn. Looks like a bit of a snorefest so far with no bands I'd go to see aside from maybe FotN just to see what they're like, and Undersmile again as they've always put on a good show. They usually drag in a load of great talent at some point however. Sucks about Wardruna curating though. I'll never understand why so many people froth at the mouth at the band.

Btw Che, you should check out Coma Wall: its Undersmile's other band that plays a nice kind of moody, doomy folk music.

Also, the way it looks now: Temples is kicking the shit out of Roadburn right now... But in the end they seem to be 2 completely different festival and are great for completely different reasons for me.

Well Roadburn has always ended up getting some great bands in by the end, even late-ish last year it looked a bit bland but ended up quite good. Looking at it at the moment though it looks pretty underwhelming. I think it's just that it lacks any energy, and then you look at Temples and you have a nuclear bomb waiting to go off

I keep looking at my watch as if the date is magically going to change to the 15th. Any prognostics for the second announcement?

I find that so ironic. I really just commented on this out of curiosity when they announced the first bands, and a month later I have my ticket. Johan then Rod joined the party, and this bum who started the whole thing will be the last to get it. I'm very happy I'm spending money on something new and not just another Hellfest.

I actually came within a few clicks of buying a ticket 6 weeks back or so, but then the whole house thing happened so it's probably better that I hadn't.

I know I'm just poking fun at you really, and that was a wise decision. I am just very lucky someone helped me get it .

Yeah it does. As good as it looks I'm worried they're gonna keep piling on the grind and hardcore. Could really do with a little more heavier doom and a splash of black metal. Oranssi Pazuzu seem to visit the UK a lot so they're a possibility, though the fact they do come here a lot means Temples might avoid them altogether. Kind of hard to speculate what black they'll get really. Probably something from the orthodox, French aus Nord style like Svartidaudi or Carpe Noctem as they're no stranger to UK shores. The Ruins of Beverast also isn't out the realm of possibility seeing as he played in Ireland not too long ago (but not the UK, swine).

I reckon they might get novelty non-metal thing too like Beastmilk last year. Necro Deathmort would be a good choice I think as they tie into the metal scene.
