It's 2015, and there's a lot more to the music world than metal. Post any albums of quality outside of the realms of metal in this thread. Here are a few to get started (Esbe and Sixfingerz)
So I've heard you like female fronted experimental drone ?
AotY material for me.
Interesting, I've known of Natural Snow Buildings for quite the loooong from my Last.fm lurkings. I've only ever given them a tiny amount of attention though.
^ Think I must have been drunk or something as I totally forgot to listen to that Natural Snow Buildings record.
Found this on a best of 2015 list somewhere. Think it's been bumped into my top 25 at least. A lot of people are comparing it to Tame Impala who I'm not overly familiar with (may check their 2015 record out though), but it also has a fair amount of Uncle Acid in it too. Really awesome, rocking psychedelia.
A few tracks into it, and I really like it already. Seems like a lot of people are having issue with an apparent change of sound. Can't really speak to that though.
New Nurse With Wound collab with Graham Bowers. Not really sure what to make of this as it's the only track I can find, but it's some very peculiar industrial. Sounds like a brass marching band in fast forward. I imagine this will be too obscure to track down so will likely forget it exists before long.
An end of year curveball for me. Didn't know about this but Aaron Funk apparently had some financial hardship earlier in the year and was helped out by fans, and as a thank you made this. I wouldn't expect much under those circumstances but hot-diggidy, if this isn't the best thing he's done in ages I don't know what is. Hits every note just right.
Venetian Snares is one of those bands which intrigue me but I never really got to explore because its discography is so huge I don't know where to start.
I guess I'll start from the 2015 album then.

I've been into him for well over 10 years and I still haven't heard everything. He has a lot of great stuff, but also some not particularly great stuff.
So Melt Banana released this compilation album with all the singles
I appreciate when bands do that, because I often listen to full lengths and am not much tinto browsing single/demo stuff. But sometimes I may be missing good stuff =3
Reminds me that Rammstein did the same this year, I haven't listened to that yet

Extremely nice electronic/jazz/ avatngarde by drummer of Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects. It is like Frank Zappa playing electronic music. Highly recommended.
