Whispered vocals are almost always the kiss of death. I can understand the love for Fatherland, but anything past that is held in too high of regard. The instrumentation is pretty unimaginative, any folk elements are equally unoriginal, and I really just can't stand the vocal approach at all. It's off key and not as dramatic as it desires to be. Still not the worst I have heard from 2015 by any means, but not for me at all. Maybe its just the style.

Not that thrilled with this one. Still them though, but I feel that there was not much going for it, there is no drive anymore, no energy. It is a decent listen but for me Fatherland will always be their best album to date.

I give it a 7.

And I am fairly certain that they have not been a "Viking" anything for a long long time, if they ever did before
