Thankfully, they're particularly good at making up for that with their music.

Definitely not a case with their last album. Awful cover, godawful (over)production and a real mixed bag in terms of tune quality (a couple of good tracks, a couple of real shit tracks and the rest was generic rehashes).

Ah, but you don't like anything modern/good. Obviously your tastes are gonna be impaired as a result. The last Helloween was quite a good album, definitely better than most of the stuff the power metal genre has been offering lately since its decline in quality releases.

I think the cover is awesome IMO , hopefully the album will be awesome as the last, but with better production and no thrashy sound.

blahblahblah

I'm gonna stop you right there since I remembered that arguments with you go either in circles or nowhere since you like to play devil's advocate to death or just like to pull arguments out your ass. You've actually proven my point in the declining state of the power metal by listening albums like Delivering The Black and Land Of The Free II among others, all quite mediocre compared to later Helloween.

But since you can't understand that (assuming incorrectly that I meant that the album is the "best of the worse" which was clearly incorrect), or are too stubborn to realize it, why don't we just drop this now? I know I am.

You don't even need MS Paint for the cover of the single. That could be done in MS Word 97'

You said I didn't like new stuff. I was merely pointing out that I liked those albums. Bare in mind "like" here is only a score of 7 and nothing I would go out of my way to buy (I did get the Gamma Ray one cheap though).

I totally agree power metal is in decline and has been since early 2000s. The genre had its heyday in the 1990s and then quickly ran out of ideas.

I agree with this. The only thing I want to point out is that I like the evolution in production quality on the newer power metal albums. (At least a good chunk of them) I really love the production on Gambling With The Devil, for instance. The drums are so clear on that album, and the guitar has a sharp tone to it, that I wish Helloween would return to someday.
