Nightrage - New Album Streaming Online
The melodeath group Nightrage are currently streaming their latest work, The Puritan. Recorded in their new home of Gothenburg, Sweden and featuring a member named "Anders," this is a case where stereotypes won't lead you far from what sound to expect. A little bit of thrash, a lot of melodic riffs, death metal vocals. Check it out for yourself at this location. What do you think? Does Nightrage breathe new life into the genre with this new album?

Frankly this appears to be the weakest Nightrage album so far. Some good parts are there, Son of Sorrow is a decent song and the second half of Desperate Vows is good. Generally I think it's lacking melodies that make Nightrage what it is known for.
