Shouldn't be that hard to make an album better than Nemesis, IMO.

It will be hard to top Nemesis' catchy world, which is their best effort in the last 15 years, but after the new Cain's Offering's surprise I really hope they can do it. (:

This is an excellent album. Great performance from everyone in Stratovarius. Not a single track on here that I don't like.

Great album !! Sometimes the songs sound like, but we know that this is the Power Metal ... the interpretation of each is perfect

I think there should be an automatic system to ignore ratings that are obviously given by these losers. for instance - all ratings 5 or more pts worse than average (if average is 8 or more) should be ignored. abusers could then give min. 4 (not to be ignored) - and this would have crucially smaller impact on final average. probably they would stop their silly work then. what do you think?

Sucks, I know. The voting system on MS has been subject to favouritism for a long time, particularly on the Top 20 albums list. If you believe something sounds great, then keep giving those albums 9 or 10

4 out of 5 of them have Iron Maiden listed as their favorite band =/

This "ironshervin" guy has been giving 1's to every single new album that could contest the new Iron Maiden. I guess some people just don't really have interesting enough lives...

After my first listen I wasn't impressed by any song except the opener "My Eternal Dream" and closer "The Lost Saga".
This album just feels weak.

My first impression is that it's not as good as Nemesis, but overall pretty solid. There weren't a lot of standout tracks the first listen, but most of them were at least above average.

To any fans who are interested to hear more, there are 2 bonus tracks "Endless Forest" and "Giants" that only appear in the Japanese release.

I'd say the best way to stop it is to make it harder to make ratings. I recall a website where you had to have 5 forum posts in order to write an articel. MS should be using something similar to this when allowing users to rate.

Well, this one maybe has not the power Nemesis had, but the melody excess that was the band's trademark sound is back and IN A GREAT PERFORMANCE!!! Songs like My Eternal Dream and Man In The Mirror surely are new instant classics for the band's catalog

Well, it sounds like new cain's offering. Anyway, it's been quite some time since I've lost interest in stratovarius, but I like this album. Maybe I'll check their recent works later.

Tracks 1, 2, 5, and 10 are very good. Rest of the album is what I'd call above average. 8.3 rating for me. The guitar and keyboard melodies are very strong, but most of the vocal melodies are lacking.

I like it a lot, but it's missing a certain je ne sais quoi that Nemesis and Elysium had. I still like it, I still say it's worth buying. It's just not quite as awesome as their last two.
It is kind of a relentless album with very little in the way of slow or atmospheric passages and that may contribute the lack of memorability. In time, I think the songs will stick.

This is still a very good album, but I can't help but feel if it's more of a step down in terms of quality from previous album Nemesis. I still like the bombast and find it to be a bit of a soft spot when I'm listening to this style of power metal, which Stratovarius always manage to pull off aplomb for the most part, but they've obviously done this much better in the past. The band reach the peake of their creative strength with the "The Lost Saga" in my opinion.
