This fairly young gothic band from France deserves loads of recognition for The Nameless Disease in my opinion. It's one of my favorite albums ever. I have not heard their latest album, however.

So what do you guys think?

haha you're not special.

Anyway, I'm not sure whether it was their first album or not. I know one came before but I'm not sure if it was a demo or an official album. I'll need to check into that.

Also, it's impossible to beat the emotion in The Nameless Disease. Unless another band member died I guess. But who's wishing for that?

You should really hear their last album. In my opinion it's even better than The Nameless Disease. Great live band too. Unfortunately their guitar player left a while ago.

Well the band is really strong!

I bought the nameless disease like ayear ago and I was directly struck by the music of those young (coz we must precise that they are really young) frenchmen ... the rythm are catchy and heavy, the composure of the song is really well done I particularly like the song called 'How Could You' on this album it really speaks to me...

But to realize how strong The Old Dead Tree is you should see them live they are really good... such power and already experience for such a new and young band... A really big big band to llok for in the future

Well they are both totally different albums. I still love the Nameless Disease because I know how much pain and effort it took for the band to write it. Also I like their new sound, because it is more powerfull and strong.
I defenitly believe that they will grow much more in the future. Also I am still very happy that I was there in Paris when Nicholas played his final gig. Hopefully they soon find a good replacement.

by the way who's curious: check the interview with the band on

I cannot say that.. I dont think they will release any alboum like This nameless desease in the future... Anyway, these guys are really talented and their inspiration has many things to give to music... I could never believe that some persons from France would be that talented -no offence to french people.

I 'd love to see them live, but here in Greece the fans are too stuck in the classic stuff and I dont think there are more than 200 individuals who actually know The old dead tree...Umfortunately

Here it is: http://www.myspace.com/theolddeadtree

I knew this guys because they added me to their Myspace friends list. I like their music, the performance is really great, and I enjoy the clean vocals. Probably I'm getting their album.
