Myrkur - First Song From Full-Length Debut Unveiled
Relapse Records has shared with us a first taste of M, the full-length debut from one-woman black metal project Myrkur. You can stream the new track "Hævnen" below via YouTube. Fronted by Danish musician Amalie Bruun, Myrkur released its self-titled EP last year; generating much buzz for her interesting take on the genre.
M will be released on the 21st of August this year on CD, digital, and vinyl formats.

Love the doom metal riff in the beginning, then to full on black metal intensity. I love her clean vocals and clean guitar melodies. That stuff works for some amazing contrast which is completely devoid in most black metal recordings. Amalie should stick to those clean vocals, but her growls sound fine. They were just better on the previous EP. Regardless, I am excited for this release!
