For a moment I thought that I'm listening to the Woods of Desolation... Overwhelming boredom. The riffs are so stale that it makes me sick. Germ use to sound different from what I recall. But that's no longer valid.

I was looking forward for hearing what they'd do this time. All the previpous releases were such fresh takes on the shoegaze scene
How disappointed I was to hear this one is "just one more blackgaze" =/

I hope they don't stick to that...

Why do you rate albums in genres you dont like and probaly has zero knowledge of? If youre gonna bash it from the start why bother?

Not taking sides here but you can trust me buddy, it's really hard to find a person here who is more into BM than Paz.

As The Stars was truly uninspired and disappointing.

Well i wasn't going add to the WOD comment thinking it would be a bit inappropriate as the the thread is about Gerrms album, but seems you went ahead and did anyway, i would say that "As the stars"
had a few gems but it was very boring. That doesn't mean WOD are boring as a whole though, Torn Beyond Reason was a fucking a beautiful album!

I agree that it sounds extremely similar to Woods of Desolation. That's not a negative thing for me personally though. It's quite the opposite. I love this kind of music and Germ delivers an awesome album of blackgazy Depressive Black Metal. I understand that many people are upset that Germ has taken a much more traditional approach than on their previous album but for me it just works.

If he pulled off a good WOD sound instead of a terrible rip off, this would have been a massive improvement from the previous albums. Maybe he should just do Austere again.

Very weak. I liked the first Germ release but this is not good.
