my experience with them has been somewhat poisoned, much as I love IE, much as I love Schaffer as a musician. Seems like he might have his conviction thrown out pretty soon, but the damage has already been done.
@Metren: I feel similarly. It's a fantastic composition but the last time I listened to it I started hearing the lyrics in a different way. Now there are some Iced Earth songs that just draw me back to Schaffer's ideology and
Varg is and will forever be a major dingus, but yes, his writings and videos were both hilarious simply for the sake of morbid curiosity if nothing else
I've seen this thing compared to MGLA all over the place. I'd have to say the comparison holds true. Can't seem to to find either interesting. Great artwork though.
The sound is really tight. Yeah, the Polish signature sound can be heard in a lot of songs so theres MGLA to be compared. Tight album, nice song writing and cool riffs
Doesn't sound much like Mgla to me. Songwriting approach seems completely different, in that this band focuses on melody first of all. Nice stuff actually; the songs are instantly memorable and enjoyable.
Quite good. Obviously jumping on the Polish BM sound bandwagon (and that "hoodiesleatherjacketisthenewcorpsepaint" look). But I think they have a more melodic edge, sort of like Dissection (?).
Found somewhat amusing that the opening riff and song structure is exactly like this other song that came out a few months before:

Not sure its a polish sound, to me it sounds like both Mgla and Uada is influenced by Inquisition.
Solid record with lots of fantastic melodious riffs and captivating atmospheres, but the production is a wee bit off. They're a decent band but definitely not a Mgła, if I was to pick a band to compare these too I wouldn't pick Mgła tbh. The first two tracks are the highlights for me especially the title track, the riff reminds me of Inquisition, I also greatly admire the solo at the end of the last track, it's very bold as it's something don't hear much of in black metal.
