Lately I've been listening to a lot of New York Hardcore bands. Excellent stuff, and it definitely is tied to metal. Plenty of bands crossing over and having metal in their music like the usual suspects Cro-Mags, Leeway, Crumbuskers, Agnostic Front and even bands like Killing Time and Sheer Terror. Also been listening to Warzone, One Life Crew, Youth Defense League, Ludichrist, Murphy's Law, Gorilla Biscuits, Sick Of It All, Underdog. Tons of stuff.
Anyone else on here fancy the NYHC?
