I was shocked when I noticed that no one created a topic on Wintersun it is so strange because this band is one of the best I know...they have just released one album but this album is fucking masterpiece,
I like their songs "Death and the Healing" and "Beautiful Death" they are great songs and this band is Idol for me.

Anyone know what's the difference of these two versions: Digipak/DVD | Boxset also including the DVD

Different price and package, but is there anything else?

The box set is only available at the NUCLEAR BLAST mailorder and is limited to 500 copies. It comes in a media book with the bonus DVD, an instrumental CD, artwork card and certificate of authenticity. http://www.nuclearblast.de/en/products/tontraeger/cd/cd-boxset/wintersun-time-i-mailorder-edition.html

I think I will go with the CD/DVD version that mailorder edition is nothing really special, only that instrumental CD sounds intressting but I prefer the album with vocals. Think I will pre-order the album from Finland since the release date here in Sweden is the 17th October(don't understand why) And it's even cheapier for me to order it from Finland than ordering from the swedish webstore. Here's a link to the website http://www.recordshopx.com/artist/wintersun/time_i/#2cd

Thanks for the quote. I think this piece of text wasn't on that page before, or I just somehow missed it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they added the description in the last few days.

Yea, I lost a message. Summarized:

Kai Hahto is getting old. Who would replace him? Guesses, info, rumours?

Which bundle/format did you get?

Kai's not that old man. Mike Portnoy and Gene Hoglan are older than he is.

Yes, but 'getting' he is [/yoda]

I believe he'll have no problems during these 'Time' albums and tours, but after that ( + three years?) it might get quite wearing to bash through long sets with tracks like "The Way Of The Fire", which is quite furious and technical, and what I can tell by watching the YouYube videos, "Sons of..." won't be an easy task either. The guy of course seems to be in pretty good shape and has a history with Rotten Sound etc., but there can always be injuries. I hope he can winterdrum a decade, but is it realistic?

He's only in his late 30s. I know drummers still going in their 50s. Chill.

About "Time I", I love it. I really do. "Sons of Winter and Stars" almost made me cry, probably because I got so nostalgic thinking about how it was the first time, 7-8 years ago, when me and my best friend bought the first album and absolutely loved it. That bringed forth so many emotions in me. But (!) it's not as good as the first one, and I really don't think this one needed 8 years to be made. Yeah, I know there was several factors involved. But still.
I feel I need at least one more awesome song on it, to be able to say: it's just as good as the first.
