Paradise Lost - To Release 'Medusa' Album This Summer

News from the Paradise Lost camp. They are nearing completion of a new studio album, recorded at Orgone Studios in the misty countryside of Woburn, England, to follow The Plague Within. The new album is called Medusa and will hit the shelves this summer via Nuclear Blast, it has just been revealed.

According to guitarist and founding member Greg Mackintosh: "The new album will be slower, sludgier and more doom filled than ever before. Eight riff laden monster tracks of sheer Northern misery."

As some might know, Medusa is considered a hideous Gorgon in Greek mythology - a winged female monster with living venomous snakes in place of hair and everyone who dares taking a look at her will immediately turn to stone! So watch out for more details about the album being revealed soon.

If Dunkin advertised their jelly donuts that way, I'd buy a dozen every morning

Sounds like they're heading towards a more Vallenfyre esque sound maybe? I'm interested.

Ugh I hope not. If I wanted to listen to Vallenfyre.. I'd listen to Vallenfyre. Nick has an awesome voice and growling is wasting it, on a PL record.

Not copying them of course, that would be pointless. But heading in a doomier, darker sound could be nice.

I wonder if the art on this T-shirt has anything to do with Cover of "Medusa"
