I honestly hope he is just very successful at trolling. I find him hilarious with the language he uses in his reviews and stuff, but I also get why no one wants to be roasted by their peers

1. No one in their right mind would listen to an album they think deserves 1/10 10 times.
2. No one (who likes rock and metal anyway) in their right mind would think this album deserves 1/10. Very few albums deserve 1/10 and any Leprous album isn't one of them.

1. Why? It's called guilty pleasure. I know people that love to watch films that are so bad that they're good.
2. That's your personal, 100% subjective opinion. You gave a 1 to a Queensryche album. I'm sure a lot of people would say "No one in their right mind would think this album deserves 1/10" about that album.
All in all, discussing other people's ratings is pointess. The ratings are always 100% subjective, and whatever you can say, someone else can claim otherwise.

1. If you listen to an album 10 times because you think it's so bad it's good then it means you enjoy listening to it. A guilty pleasure is still something you enjoy listening to therefore you wouldn't give it 1/10 unless you're a moron.
2. That Queensrÿche album is one of the worst albums I've ever heard.
That guy rated about 6 other 2017 albums that are/were in the top 20 1/10. If you can't tell he gave those albums 1/10 only because he wanted to see his favorite albums higher in the charts, then you're most likely a moron.

1. Wrong. I still think it's a terrible album, and I can still rate it with a 1. And please stop trying to offend me, remain civil like me.
2. I could say "that Leprous album is one of the worst albums I've ever heard."
You've tried to offend me twice in your post. Do you always call people morons when they have a different opinion than you?
In case you actually are a braindead moron (I don't think so, but I'm covering all the bases here), I'll repeat what I said. Maybe now it'll sink in, and end this discussion before you fly off the handle and start offending me further:
All in all, discussing other people's ratings is pointess. The ratings are always 100% subjective, and whatever you can say, someone else can claim otherwise.
I didn't call you a moron, I called the kind of people I described morons. By "you're a moron" I didn't mean you, I meant people who think the way I said.

I don't quite understand why you're expending so much energy on those ratings or trying to get people to rate albums according to your rules; no matter how sensible they are, you know that's never going to work.
I am not disagreeing with you, I just think it's a battle that's not worth it.
Personally I don't give a flying fuck about album charts.
Left no impression on me on first listen (felt the similar about The Congregation). Had it playing in the background at work when Mirage kicked my ass, so I had it on repeat all day. I'm really feeling this album at the moment.
I like most of the more simple songs in the first half of the album (I have listened to From The Flame far too much even before the album dropped and still really like it), and am really won over by the new territories they explored in the second half of the album. Wouldn't say it matches up to Bilateral (or arguably Coal) but I think I would possibly pick it over The Congregation, a mostly fine album with some slightly incoherent song structures and less memorable tracks in comparison.

I rely a lot on the community's ratings here, I discovered a lot of amazing bands through Metalstorm (including Leprous at their beginnings) just because they had high ratings. IMO no album should be rated 1, not even Justin Bieber. I would rate 1 only if the album is complete silence
I don't give a fuck about community ratings, I rate my albums for personal reasons, that way I can keep some track about music I've enjoyed in the past.
Anyway, I've never listened to Leprous before and I think they're great, it's good to have some Prog metal bands that fall into the "softer" spectrum of the genre that don't suck ass.

People seem to complain a lot about this album. Regardless of the changes in sound, it's still a very good album, good songs throughout.
Leprous are still making great music and I'm grateful for that. Whether they are more "rock" and "less heavy" or not isn't really that important to me. I just want their music to keep being interesting and it is.

^Good posting.
Thanks for your support eheh So, I gather you like the album too?
I think it's rare to find a band on this site that has a vocalist who can really sing. I mean really sing. This guy has an amazing voice. The drumming on this album is also of a very high standard. Very original too. Very creative songwriting and at times very catchy as well. A standout album for 2017 for mine.

I don't like it, I LOVE it! Probably my favorite album of the year.

Didn't you originally give the album a 7? If so, nice to see it has grown on you.

and yes the singer is amazing.
Yes, very observant of you. The album has grown on me a lot and I am still listening to it almost every day. I can't say that about many other releases in 2017. It's my first Leprous album, so I am excited about exploring their earlier albums now.
