I mean Mother Russia from Iron Maiden is quite an obvious one since it talks about the USSR falling into pieces. Song came out October 1990 and the official end of the USSR was 1991. That said in early 1990 the USSR lost a bunch of republics already, so that's exactly what this song is about: the systematic dissolution of the USSR. And the republics becoming free ("Now your people are free" - last line of the song) (Easily the best song on No Prayer For The Dying imo and probably the only one that is on the level of songwriting you expect from Iron Maiden).
