What does everything think of this band?
Having recently listened to a lot of classic 80's thrash, I gave 'Doomsday for the Deciever' and 'No Place For Disgrace' a listen. Both, in my opinion are amazing albums, however, I think the quality of their albums descresed greatly after 'No Place For Disgrace'

I don't have any of their albums yet, but I should really buy their first two sometime soon. Like all good thrash bands, these guys are upbeat, catchy, and have a lot of groove. I also like the high screams that are sometimes used
I'm not really familiar with their new stuff though. I briefly listened to some songs from Dreams of Death, but I wasn't really impressed. I should probably check it out again though.

I liked this band some time ago, but it was the time when I liked them only because Jason played with them lol Anyway, it is really awesome band, and even better than new Metallica if you ask me, altough they don't play very similar music lol I am looking forward to see that DVD, I am sure they are destroying on stage, not like testament though (hmm, don't ask me why I wrote that, cause I don't know)..

First two albums are "classics in metal's history". Every thrash metal fan should own these. And indeed, as Ozman said, try to get the Anniversary box. Sounds awesome....

I ordered this 2 weeks ago and it finally came in the mail yesterday. Man, this album is a pure fucking masterpiece. The guitars are just ridiculous, especially on the instrumental song. I heard random songs from them on my internet radio station and I thought I could potentially like them, but I wasn't aware that it was going to be this good.

I have the full length 2005 Dream Of Death, honestly I would say I cant get into the band. Their music doesnt captivate me, I like thrash by old Metallica and Slayer more.

I love their first 3 albums, but I'm pissed that I can't find When the Storm Comes Down to download to my iPod! My favorite Flotsam & Jetsam album is No Place For Disgrace, though Doomsday for the Deceiver is a very close second. Amazing band! I have all of their releases up to Drift.

I liked them some years ago, but just not into their style anymore.
But I loved When The Storm Comes Down and Cuatro when they came out.
Played them constantly.

New album sounds good. Solo's are fabulous, atmosphere is melancholic and mind blowing, some tracks are amazing. The only thing I miss are the high screams like in the first CD's. Nevertheless a very good release!

I also think their first two albums are thrash classics. Everything in those two album flowed so well with each other, its a shame that they started to make mediocre albums afterwards(with the exception of "My God" I loved that album;D ) Maybe I should give their new album a shot and see what it sounds like.

Agreed. Very powerful. Also great lyrics! The whole album is actually very good and grows on me with every listen.
EDIT.
P.S. By the way these awesome lines
I can't only not see light
I can't find the tunnel
echo with Metallica's "My World":
Not only do I not know the answer
I don't even know what the question is

Me too. What the ef is going on?
I don't think it will end being my favorite this year, but Erik "A.K." Knutson has now definitely become one of my favorite vocalists and made me want to check some of their back catalog.

Well, the two first releases are classic ones but "The cold" is the best record ever since

No Shit? lol. I just found out about these guys pretty recently. I've listened to metal since I was young, like mostly mainstream and local stuff, but I didn't really get into a lot of different bands until the internet came around

The first two albuns are fucking amazing, the last one also sounds great.
On top of that all of them are great people, had the oportunity to play with them in Madrid and all teasing with everybody, no rockstars attitude.
They deserve a new shot with The Cold.
