I don't get the hate for Megadeth at this time. Dystopia was a solid record. I am hopeful that this follow up will be solid, too.

No hate, just my prediction how the album will turn out to be based on how their (Dave's) recent albums have developed. Sure Dystopia might not be as bad as Turdt3en or Turd Collider , but that doesn't mean I will be holding my breath waiting for the new album. Newest Havok album > Dystopia , easily, with rather similar music (and lyric themes).

Well, can you blame me? Is there a pattern that is pointing to a super killer album release coming, that I am missing?

That looks like someone's living room, not a studio. And they have console and monitor speakers in the same room as instruments and amps? I guess the recording process changed a lot since the last time I was involved in it in any capacity, which was super long ago.

Better than Metallica since the 90s at least

Could be true. I'm not very familiar with Metallica after 90s, and frankly I don't even know if they played mainly thrash or something else since then. All the same, doing better than Metallica (or other bands in the Big Turd 4) doesn't necessarily mean they're doing very well

To paraphrase Schmier from Destruction: Rich people cannot play thrash properly because they got nothing to be pissed about. I agree with this pretty much 100%, rich bands don't seem deliver like they used to when they were still relatively unknown

I'm not expecting something like that either. Super Collider was obviously trash, but I think the last album was pretty decent. With that in mind, I think it's best we wait and see.
