Fuuuuuuuuuck, so I got the 2-CD version of their debut, Doomscapes, which included this demo as a second CD. I thought "Heh, guess it'll be interesting to see how they started. Probably sounds kinda shitty but I get kvlt points".

Nope! These guys were sick and forward-thinking from the fucking get go. The production of this demo trumps over many bands at their LP-stage, even by modern standards.
At least 8,5 material. Specially for being a demo. Jeez. Really hard to describe Diskord's music to people, even to metalheads who enjoy their death metal. It's just weird, highly progressive but very traditional in how it sounds. It's the songwriting itself that differs from the norm.

Moral of the story: Diskord are really underrated.
